    Sorry have fixed the links enjoy!! No they didnt sin but oddly we were told your supposed to let them fill up a little to balast the boat in the water and so the bilge pump isnt pumping thin air!

    If the plonker left a 30 tonne tank without the hand break on someone needs to ask why the hell was he driving it in the first place? On the hellcat however i prefer using the tow hitches on the front and the lighting rails to clamber abord. To get down i slide down the side however i have fallen face first from the top of the hellcat to the ground and it bloody hurts so dont try it

    Ok so who saw it on the yesturday channel i thought it was ok The program was about the ww2 elephant and the restoration of the tank from teh aberdeen collection. There are only two remaining exaples of the tank one at Kubinka Russia and the one featured in the program. Watch it on the repeats when you have the chance next week its the isle of white commet boys! Many thanks AL :coffee:

    Wow. he certainly ended a legend. Not trying to discredit but wittman truley was amaizing at what he did i mean the amount of kills and all that its just astonishing. But hey even the best fall at some point i guess. What a hero all the guys that fought on the frontline are. Good thread thanks Al :):)

    Alot of the brussels tank museus shermans look as if their tracks are coming to the end of their life especially spit oil.

    Yes but in the current economic down turn all this sort of stuff will loost value and things will become more readily accesible for the less financially influenced among us. However tanks and such things willcontinue to make lots of money and i have to admit if mynumbers came up the first thing i would do is bugy a sherman no doubt. What does everyone else think? Al

    Is it true that the Dutch MV association won't allow american tanks into Arnehm the reason i ask is because we wanted to take an m18 hellcat and were told it might not be possible. and i know they werent used by 30 corps but we dont have any other tanks . Can anyone shed any light? Many thanks AL
