  1. Hello Clive, how about copying & pasting into a text box within Powerpoint? You can change format of pages to A4 portrait or landscape & 'save as' jpeg format. cheers Paul
  2. At the Wellesbourne event on Fathers Day, with the taxi runs of XM655 we had a surprise visitor that even the organisers didn't know about till on the day. 558 appeared while 655 was on the runway, did one low flypast right over 655, then again & we all thought that was great then it came round for a 3rd time and did a steep climb and banked right, fantastic & what a sound, made my day. This was done as a big thank you to the Wellesbourne team who helped get 558 back in the air.
  3. I quite like this pic my son found in the book 'One Man's SAS by Lofty Large. The caption reads "Charlie at work in the Northern Oman desert."
  4. whoops! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/leicestershire/8134361.stm
  5. Calimera, And welcome, look forward to seeing some of your photos. I keep meaning to visit some of my cousins in Athens but I usually end up on one of the islands. Efharisto Paul

  7. That directors trailer was towed by the Simba, which I thought was a great looking vehicle & one I had not seen before.
  8. Jim is a real asset to our club and the MV movement as whole. He's always so jolly, enthusiastic and very entertaining. Here's a list of some some of his toys: BMP 1 Bedford QLB Recovery (just restored) Dingo GMC WCKKC353 (just returned from Normandy towing Dingo) German bike combo Iraqi SA60 Anti-aircraft gun Kraz tank transporter & trailer Praga M63 with twin 30mm Schutzenpanzer Uaz Jeeps Zil 131 with Bofors gun and can't remember the rest...
  9. Jim is a great bloke and friend and though I have not yet spoken with him he won't be needing that refresher as we don't intend letting him do this again.
  10. Yes it was an unfortunate accident. Jim did suffer a hand injury and our thoughts are with him and his family as it was a shock for us all. He was due to have an operation on his hand Sunday night but there were more urgent cases & so re-scheduled for tonight (Mon) so I'll should know more tomorrow. I can confirm that Jim, an ex-officer is a qualified Pyrotechnic and experienced. The emergency services were excellent, firstly another re-enactor an army medic helped him, followed by the Red Cross in just a few seconds as they were parked at the bottom of the arena, then the Ambulance and it just so happended that the Air Ambulance had been attending another incident nearby, so it made it look a bigger accident that it was. Jim was his usual self cracking jokes, and asking for a roll-up while the oxygen mask was on! As Bubba says, a load of cr*p, "5ft"!!! nor was it a grenade as reported elsewhere.
  11. Been working on site last couple of days and have to say the camp is really looking good, started to move some of the track and armour into place and here's a couple of pics of the searchlights in position. Can't wait. cheers P
  12. Another Vulcan XM655 is due to do a high speed taxi run at Wellesbourne, Warwickshire this Sunday. Bet they will be careful on the throttle as a result of that Victor.
  13. Just had another play on the morse code site & read on the Questions page how to record the sound file. So I downloaded the 'Audacity' software, hit the record button & played morse & have now uploaded a short welcome msg on our club's homepage.

  16. Just a quick update to say that we now have over 220 MV's booked & over 250 re-enactors, not bad for our first public show! Looking forward to it and thanks to those of you on here who have booked. cheers Paul
