  1. For those registered, I had planned to send passes out this week but it will now be next week, sorry for delay. And there are now over 300 military vehicles booked & more still to come. Today we also had confirmation that the Mercian Regiment will be bringing a FV510 Warrior so that should be good to see. For those amphibious vehicles they will be able to go for a swim in the river Avon, just over a mile away, howver there is a fishing competition on so can only use slipway after 5pm. cheers Paul
  2. Hi, think I'll just open the window and shout hello, as I'm also from Leam, (just down the road from Town & Country Landrover). Do come over to the show I'm organising at the end of the month if you can, Wartime in the Vale, Evesham. Where are you storing 432? cheers Paul
  3. Visited the camp this evening for our monthly meeting so here's a couple of pics of our new Pickett Hamilton Fort & Nissen No. 6, the Bedford makes an ideal platform for fitting the tin. And pleasingly we are now up to 225 military vehicles & more re-enactors!

  5. Hi Andy, pleased you are coming, so do please come & find me to say hello. Quite often found in the camp compound near my Austin K9, cheers Paul
  6. Yes, can't help but get a little stressed, as putting so much effort into it & wanting it to go well, so I do occaissionally wake up in the night and think of another task that needs to be done. Plus relying on others on the day to do their is un-nerving. So I wish you all the best with A+E.
  7. Just a quick update to say that I've now received 195 MV entries and well on target to reach 250, so if any others would like to attend please let me know & I'll email form. cheers Paul

Hello Ray, About time you got on here. You've got a great MVT area, I'm always amazed at how many from your area always turn up together at shows. Very well organised and you all seem to put on great displays. Here's a pic of Tony's French Cottage at Carentan. (Taken at the Victory Show 09) See you soon.
  10. I haven't seen it but spoke with Bob who said the pump was there, but just some damage to a loop hole caused by a digger when lifting. And yes a copy of the map would be appreciated. cheers Paul
  11. I'm pleased to say that Bob James managed to salvage the other one available at the airport. I'll post another pic once its put in place. Should look quite good at our June show with some allied re-enactors in it.
  12. Hello Ray, Good to see you on here and thanks for your words of support. We are already up to just over 120 military vehicles so its looking good so far. Bob is busy building more Nissen huts and depending on work schedules we might even do away with the beer tent and have a very large 'Beer Tin' instead, as he just found a larger span hut that is 60ft long. Look forward to meeting up with you and others from the North Staffs during the season. cheers Paul
  13. Hello and welcome, I'm sure someone will be along soon with a suggestion for your gearbox problems. Look forward to seeing you at our June show at Ashdown camp, just a few miles up the road from Ashchurch. cheers Paul
  14. Hi Joris, I installed the full version and this will be handy replying to posts when out & about, especially for the show in June that I'm organising. Even the pictures & pdfs look great. That really is leading the way. thanks Paul
  15. whoops mis-read, it sorry thought it was about the Vulcan.
  16. I don't think the one at Coventry is ground run as engines removed, think you mean the one at nearby Wellesbourne XM655 which is run annually and last year their was a surprise treat with XH558 doing a display as way of thanks to their team for all their work. And that was fantastic.
  17. Hope to meet you on the Sunday then Mark. Just sorted the noon day gun display, with a FH70 155m Heavy Howitzer.
  18. Just clicked on link & it said June went to look at another page & now it reads May! There is another good show at Kemble worth going to and thats the Steam Rally 6, 7 & 8 August and that has a large military section.
  19. Hello Mark, Yes your RAF display sounds interesting, though I've not seen it, does it need to go indoors? if so I might be able to find space in one of the Nissen huts where we had a US Air Force Display. Think the organiser of Kemble, is planning on doing a show but I don't the details.
  20. Thank you Clive, as far as I am aware there isn't a National MVT Show at Kemble any more, so yes we are hopeful people will consider this one.
  21. Following the success of last year's with 250 military vehicles and 200+ re-enactors, I would like to invite those who attended last year and any other vehicle owners to what will be the Midlands largest military vehicle event so please either register or visit if you can. If you've not been to the site it really is quite unique with all the Nissen huts and different types of air raid shelters etc. especially when its full of vehicles and people. Its a 40 acre site with a decent sized arena and fairly flat ground for camping. Vehicle Groups attending: Alvis Fighting Vehicle Society Austin Champ Owners Club - National Champ Camp E.M.L.R.A. 22. I might pop in to say hello as I only live 3miles away.
  23. I remember taking a call (2007) from a couple who said they had bought it but I think it was too much work for them so I think they may have sold it on or scrapped it.
  24. Hello Mark, I was going to put up a post soon about this but you beat me to it. Green tents preferred but Civi ok so I hope you will book in. I'm away from home at the moment but will load forms later in the week. cheers Paul
