  1. Managed another 5 hours today, including 10 laps of the depot now the air system is largely sorted - best pressures on the gauges I've seen since owning the Mili. I took the opportunity to give the parking spot a good sweep & clean up whilst the truck had been moved and resumed the prep & red oxide painting on the crane. My Dad has suggested fitting an additional fan (electrical as opposed to the mechanical one fitted as standard) in front of the rad which would work off a temp sensor.
  2. Seem to have made some headway today having fitted the new pressure regulating valve. Pressures range from 90 to 110 so looking good, also topped up & bled clutch hydraulics.
  3. Ural 4320 with radio box, plain green in Derby heading to C R Garage.
  4. 1545hr today M1 heading South by J22 Leicester 5 maybe 6 MLRS being hauled by http://www.metcalfeheavyhaulage.com/gallery/gallery.html
  5. I can't believe I haven't been to see this yet and it's only 15 miles away, must get down there soon.
  6. First attempt Bryan! I have a second piece to have a go at with the heat gun. After barely an hour on the truck today I tracked down a cracked pressure regulator valve base which hadn't been as noticeable a few weeks earlier. Tying a rag tightly around the valve put the pressure up almost to the correct level and restored the feed to the clutch air hydraulic unit. I've now stripped the part and hope to acquire a replacement - hopefully this fixes the brake issue once and for all. [video=youtube_share;QxjlLq5DJhg]
  7. Spent most of today fitting the brake valve & new hose to the truck-made no difference to the loss of air in the brakes. Started to strip the clutch air hydraulic unit in case it's that causing the issue.
  8. [video=youtube_share;4lI1kXYjCAk] We'd never been to this show and could only attend for the Sunday. We covered the short distance from South Derbyshire to just below Leicester in good time until we turned right into Countersthorpe Road about a mile from the show site. We joined a line of traffic and so the last mile took 2 hours until we parked at the show. Having said that we were really impressed with the show, I thought it to be a mini w&p with an airstrip. Really nice to see the mix of trade stalls, vehicles, aviation & elements of living history. The weather was glorious and we found the show ground easy to navigate, even with my dad temporarily in a mobility scooter. The battle in the arena was fantastic, possibly the best I've seen - including those at w&p. There seemed to be plenty of food stalls & portaloos and exiting the ground at 1730 took half an hour so not too bad. I'll post this combined Instagram video first with photos to follow shortly. Definitely a recommended show & we will attend again.

  10. Anyone been/there now? Attending tomorrow for the first time, without the Militant this year
  11. Valve now off again and at local workshop for recon or exchange, hopefully know more Tuesday. Also spotted a pipe just about rusted through just forward of the valve so replacing that too.
  12. [video=youtube_share;Iy3UVCq3Dz8] Heading East this evening along the A50, perhaps toward The Victory Show near Leicester? Diamond T wrecker. Blink & you'll miss it.
  13. Best bit of last nights by far was when one of the Twins had Bruce for wearing the tights he bought to fix the truck
  14. Does anyone on here have a working knowledge of the laws surrounding 'reactivating rifle grenades legally'?! The way that section was shot & the resulting explosions looked like pyrotechnics placed in & around the van to me. regards,
