  1. This system worked well when we used Crouch's network at Alltruck, Leicester with breakdowns up & down the UK and Europe. I rarely had to challenge an invoice from them either. With my current employer, we're tied into FMG.
  2. Hello all, My brother & his partner, my partner & I attended this yesterday, Sunday, as a last minute jaunt from Derbyshire. We arrived at Pickering park & ride and decided to drive on into Pickering instead, parking for free close to the town centre. By chance we had arrived just before the MV parade along the cobbles - a good selection of ww2 era vehicles light & heavy. The street scene was quite picturesque and interesting with a large number of people in attendance. After an hour or so we drove on to Levisham station (renamed LeVisham) which was 'occupied' by Germans in the main. The access to this was single track tarmaced road, very steep & winding at times - as was the 1/4 mile walk to the station. The isolated nature to the place made it feel all the more realistic. Nice to see a working Gulaschkanone & replica Sturmpanzerwagen rail car. After just over half an hour we decided to move on to Goathland (or Aidensfield as you might know it). At the station were a few MVs along with a dads army style home guard unit complete with comical ARP warden who put on a comedy air raid skit. Up by the shops in the village were a few static engine displays. With time pressing we headed to Whitby to end our trip, we didn't have time to visit the last wartime station at Grosmont. We would have liked to have used the train to see each station but at £24 return each from Pickering to Grosmont or £30 return each Pickering to Whitby we decided to drive. Well worth a visit, will go again.
  3. Should be able to bring the militant as we're not far away down the A50.
  4. Found this stealth Suzuki on a workshop site we're about to rent at work, Derby.
  5. Good luck, looking forward to seeing the restoration.
  6. Same time, location & vehicles again today except one Challenger was in NATO green
  7. Thanks pal, I assume it's off the shuttering on the workshop behind the truck. Cheers.
  8. Managed a few hours today on the OSR of the truck deck, also found the dip stick looking item next to the OSR of the truck on the floor - anyone know what it is? Can't be certain it came from the militant as lots of vehicles pass by it daily, have kept the item just in case.
  9. Anyone see Withams on Salvage Hunters, channel Quest, tonight? It should be available on this link soon, ep 2 I think. http://www.questtv.co.uk/salvage-hunters-catch-up-on-quest/
  10. Pop down to Derby in your Mili & I'll sell you a tyre - shouldn't cost much diesel :-D
  11. After RTTW I took the Militant back to the former RAOC CVD Hilton, next to where I live. On page 7 of this thread you'll see my truck was held here in stock in the early 1970s. The last few sheds are being removed to make way for 450 homes, just a shame the truck wasn't back in green for this visit but I'm glad to have made the trip. These images have various filters applied to them via Instagram to bring out the detail.
  12. Used the Militant in support of the annual Ride To The Wall (RTTW) yesterday morning, positioned nicely upon a bridge over the A38.

  14. Thanks Iain, know what you mean. May give the Mili a run out Saturday morning.
