  1. Ah , CW now there success has been achived! The original collant for air conditioning, was replaced by new fangled CFC's, these don't hole the Ozone. Unfortunatley, where these leack, they cause Global Warming, so the latest from the eco-mentalistis is to replace these. With CO2! You couldn't make this up!:???

  4. Built by Blohm & Voss aren't they? B&V do a sort of prfeab design, basic hull fitted to customer requirments. There was a 'Monster Move' proggramme on Channel 4 recently about moving a Canadian O boat. Apparently they were used for intelligence gathering till quite recently.

  17. Was it Baxter? I remember him from Tommorows World of course. The reason it stuck in the mind was because it was the first time I heard swearing on telly. As I remember the course was run sepratley , each vehicle went down it's own track with a pond in the midle. The vehicles being timed over the track.There were such things as radio microphones, you know. The other vehicle type that used to compete and of course I remember, was the Austin Gipsy. Of course you would have been in your teens at the time.:cool2: As for the 1980's, I can assure you it was a lot longer ago than that!
