  1. The first thing that ought to be hammered into chelsea Tractor owners is 'Four wheel drive can get you into twice the problems of two wheel drive'. that and Anti Lock Brakes stop you skidding! :pfrt: The one acident I nearly had last month was when the ********* ABS decided to unlock the brakes and let the bus roll!
  2. The Royal Navy actually claimed the RAF hadn't sunk the Tripitz, the bottom was still above water!
  3. No , No you don't waste the curry! That's what the bio digester is for? Park something over the top and open up. Great for de-greasing chassis!
  4. Bakewell? or Apple if you like.:cool2:
  5. Welcome in! Just the sort we need! (Totally nuts!)
  6. Welcome Dave, stupidity is mandatory round here.
  7. I had similar discussions with my MOT test station some while back. If the vehicle is 'as constructed' ie in the case of a Dodge a pair of candles each end and no seat belts fine. Dosen't even need trafficators, or wipers, because the windscreen 'OPENS'. If any additions are fitted, they must work! Most old vehicles seem to be what is left out The classic for Landy's is the rear reflectors. Pre '70 have the reflector built into the rear light glass. This is aceptable if the vehicle is before that. After they must have seperate reflectors. Some place were failing because there were no seperate reflectors.
  8. Katy is marked in the 390th BGH, admittidly this was a bomber group but .
  9. That shoould have been picked up!! Even now eyesight test are compulosry in the medical. Number One son just passed his car test, and they did the number plate across the car park test! The daft thing I know someone who was registered blind, he had no peripheral vison, yet could pass that test. There is a code 115 on a licence which means ' must have corrective lenes when driving'. I know because it is on mine.
  10. You can always cuddle up in Maggie's room!
  11. I thought the plates went on original age of vehicle ? If you get an age related plate, then you can have black and white. I think N sufix is the cut off.
  12. I got it on ITV replay, bloody hell! They earn there keep.!
  13. which bit of God's private playground are you in?
  14. Welcome Jim, Land Rover electrics, we have a seperate club house padded room. Trouble is the nine month waiting list.
  15. Nothing major being organised. Just the usual parade and day. Mind you that means no commitments so more time for fun! :-D I do hope to get back to the pagent at my old primary school that week though.
  16. What is this? A mass middle age crisis?
  17. The winch is extra weight and hassle! We have this discussion, frequently and loudly. Best advice is read up ask questions here and look about. Unfortunatley there are an awful of frogs before the Prince. Jeeps really are silly money. Dodges are a more sensible sort of price. Good points, relable, easy to work on, nice to drive. Not that expensive to run for an MV. Bad points, the Dodge Drench, but you quickly l;earn to clear water of the canvas. Brakes can be fiddly but if set up properly by the manual fine. Engine is a delight. Wait till you are running down a straight Dutch country road at Midnight in the summer with full moon, nothing else on the road, just the sound of a T-214 in your ears. :nut:
