One of the trucks hit and killed a water buffalo. As Steve's Dad implies, nothing wasted out there that could be eaten, so it was slung into the truck and brought back. Unfortunatley a lot of the Section wee Hindu. They were not happy with the truck having 'Cows' blood on it, so the truck was RTU'd for replacement. At the depot were some Dodges, by a bit of dealing he eneded up with a WC51, and a WC52. Apparently it turned out a raw deal, because the Dodges would go anywhere they got all the lousy jobs.

Anybody else been watching this on Channel 4? Good story and a lot of fun vehicle spotting. It has been filmed mostly in Israel and uses a lot of their kit. The start of the first episode had some balck and white WW2 film. there was an intresting bettle back quad with a sort of wodden basket strapped round the back. Also OY's with Div markings. 'Modern' kit incldes an M3 haltrack, a Jeep (With the obvious modern indicators) and a M37 Dodge. There is also what looks like a GMC workshop, sevral GMC soft tops and an equally intresting 'Armoured bus'. Biggest cock ups, in the first episode the M3 crew had obviously modern intercom, and the insist on holding the Stens by the magazine.

Finemere up in Oxfordshire, near Biscter had a US airfeild. The old staion and goods yard has been aquired by a group of enthuastist. Amongst the cleaning up of the ground, two .50 cal sights havwe been found. I posted details here somewhere.
