  3. Some while back I made (For GOOD reasons!) the front page of a local paper. I was buying ansd scrounging copies right left and newsagents. Sending them off to everyone and their dog. Two days later I got a portion of fish and chips , wrapped in the front page. :red:
  4. A two speed box seems a little odd. Especially for a heavy vehicle, you'd either be revving the guts out or going nowhere.
  5. Where else? You don't want it to get damp or cold! :nono:
  6. Bull up with newspaper, don't ask me why but it works.
  7. Welcome this a good place to start, but be warned the Green Disease is untreatable.
  8. Recycle it as razor blades, not much work required. Must show that to Tom, he was whinging cause I made him change the discs the other day on his Discovery.
  9. Heres one a lot of you will not have heard of. An Australian film called Breaker Morant. Based on a the story of Bushveldt Carbiniers in the first South African War. stars Edward Woodward. I was lent it by a friend, absolutley brilliant!
  10. Er, it wuz me parent's me Lud! The full name is AntHony, note the H, and you do pronounce it! How the Tony came about I don't know but after seven years driving a bus, most of the names I seem to answer are are obscene:embarrassed:
  11. Hi there, you can never have enough Dodges. Good luck in the search. I want my 54 in Normandy next year, with a bit of luck we can two them togetehr.
  12. Haven't you noticed Mark mooning around the Unipower link latley? :-D
  13. They are an iconic vehicle. I've just been left one in a Friend's will. They can be a bit heavy on steering. Try Gordon's Dodge Forum and the Powerwagon forum as well. There are some conveted vehciles there and you may get some practical advice. I'd have thought if you are going to keep the four wheel drive, and it would be a crime not to, your choice of box maybe a bit limited. But I do know , because I had one, the Isuzu 2.8 or 3.1 disiel engine will easily fit a Range Rover box, though the diffs may not like it. Good luck , keep us all posted Steve may not be the cheapest but I've always had good dealings with him.
  14. No reason at all not to go there. A good scource of bits and knowledge.
  15. Try the Jersey War Tunnels, AKA the Umderground Hospital., Don't even need the lights out. :shocking:Woolwich Arsenal has its fair share of ghosts.
  16. Welcome! Settle at the club house bar and start telling stories. We love stories.
  17. No not confused. There was something in a book, possibly an old AA guide. There was the story of Herman the German who supposedley haunted a tank at Bovington. AHH there is life in the old brain yet: http://www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/england/dorset/hauntings/bovington-tank-museum.html
  18. From Childhood : Where Eagles Dare! Best chase scene ever. I've a soft spot for Force Ten from Navarone, as it was filmed partly in Jersey. But from adulthood BAT 21.
  19. I've lost the box, can anyone tell me the modern Delco number for a Dodge T 214 oil filter? Also a stupid question, does a 6 volt system use difrent spark plugs to the 12 volt?
