Why not have a staff car Roise? Some of the pre war Wolsley and Vauxhall cars are perfectly capable of being used around town nowadays. Not that I'd dream of influencing a sober, right thinking person such as you. :cool2: (No road tax, cheap insurance, little deprication)
  6. Old time equivalent of NATO haz mat codes?
  7. Bad time mate. I remember back in the '70's a guy called Lamprell had an indoor lambing shed built on Exmoor. It was showed off as the best thing in the county. A few weks after there was the worst snow I've ever known, the whole lot fell in. He lost close on 300 ewes and lambs. Who'd be a Farmer?
  8. The difrence bettween military vehicles and 'Classic' cars, is the Military vehicles were built with thing in mind. Keep the men in action alive! They are and always should be a well built tool. There built to work not feed egos. The best fun I've had with my Dodge was when we have been doing support work for events, you call, we haul! :-D
  9. Snow, most animals can cope with. Rain most animals can cope. Wind ditto. The rain and wind together are the real killer, and the air temprature dosen't need to be that low to start hypothermia.
  10. Welcome. The Rhodesian's had some very intresting toys.

You can get tick removeing forceps cheap enough from outdoor shops. I remember an incident where someone on the forum had one he could not reach. Pass the scalpel! :cool2: Wash area thoruoghly with soap and leave wound uncovered is the best First Aid advice.
  12. Depends which doors you knock on! :cool2: Ok stuff that idea. How about, correct hand grip to lug the other poor so and so over the ditch or wall. If they don't get shot, bayonated or other oh nasty, you follow? It being a boring day so far.
  13. I've always known them generically as 'jungle boots'. The gauze in the welts being for drainage. They were sold as Vietnam boots.
  14. Is it part of some form of gretting?
  15. Best only driven in the dry anyway!
  16. Most of those are just developments of World War 1 ideas , the fascine, and World War two the Carpet.
