    Easy way is to canibalise a modern plastic battrey case that will fit inside and add wires to connect

    I'd say the other possible drawback would be the weight of fuel hose needed to connect it to the fleet of tankers. :-D

    The battery was normally a 6 volt the old type with the broad brass strip at the front of 2 round cells. Virtually impossible to find now, but easy enough to rig up standard C cells to fit.

    Bought in haste? Well, if you want sympathy, go look in a dictionary. Welcome to a world of total lunacy! It runs on , as you are now aware, tea, biscuits, mud , grease and Swarfega. The good thing is unlike classic cars, you don't have to go round polishing the air vents with cotton buds, mud is GOOD!

    Been tried before at other shows. The result is very simple, 'Well what are the organisers going to do about it?' You want to leave that's it!

    Do remeber if prior to 1st January 1960, no MOT needed, but a quick check by a second set of expert eyes, very useful. How many of us have brake testing kit at home?
