  1. And at the bottom,it should say, please give cost to Lagos.
  2. All scams i'm afraid.Seen it so many times before.
  3. I spoke to someone this morning, whilst picking the Ferret up from Paddock Wood.He said it was desperatly quiet down there.Thats what you get i suppose for mugging people off.Feel sorry for the re-inactors though, who are putting there time and effort in for a show thats falling on its arse!.
  4. To have a camping space, away from everyone else,as i am bringing my kids along, and i dont want to be disturbing anyone else,s peace.See! i'm thoughtful like that.
  5. Well, its been confirmed, that the Vulcan will not display at Dunsfold, due to an undercarriage problem.Thats been every event its been booked in to this year.
  6. Good luck with the Vulcan.Been to four events this year, where the Vulcan was supposed to fly,and all had it pulled from schedule.I think they are having a lot of teething problems with it,plus i think they are having continued issues with the CAA.
  7. Sorry for being thick. Is the ERM the military reg??
  8. Hello Steve.Going to give it a miss this year.Too much non military on the calender.Plus been put off by the debacle last year on getting in.
  9. There are some pics my mate took of her feeling a bit sick, with her head leaning in my direction,as i'm making a hard turn.It looks a bit compromising.Cant post them ones.:rotfl:
  10. Even easier,is to drill the rivets from the rear floor and lift it up.Thats what we did with an old 109,when we changed the rear cross member.
  11. Your right there!Better in the flesh.Couldnt keep me eyes off them in the beer tent:wow:.Doesnt live that far away either.Just over in Benfleet.
  12. A few more.....The awesome Corvette Z06.This is on my wants list.Fastest tandard production car of the day...... My mate the Apache pilot,as we get ready to battle it out,Britain V U.S.A.... A rather tasty and well travelled Griff.Notice how many kills he has on the top of the wing...
  13. My mate didnt mind having a photo with them either... And finally the champion for the second year on the spin.Lucky P in his 650bhp Ultima.... Funny part of the day, was, when the little blonde second from left, nagged me for a drive in the Vette. So she had a spirited one to say the least.Got the boot, after she was on the verge of throwing up in the passenger seat.Bought her a drink in the beer tent after to make up for it.
  14. Well,Finally managed to sort some pics.I arrived nice and early, only to run in to potential disaster, before i even started. The scrutineers were not happy with the fittment of the rear tyre on the vette. Was ordered to go straight to the tyre area, for a check, and re-fit After and an hour and a half and with the first cars lining up,i was given the all clear.First run pitted me against a Subaru P1 which i despatched quickly enough. Then i was put up against the TVR Sagaris..... A close one,but he just edged me over the mile marker. Then it was up against the big guns and this 600bhp Viper 8.0ltr SRT10.... My arse was well and truelly handed to me on a plate after that duel. The Dagenham dustbin made 191.5mph at the mile marker,i kid you not 7.7ltrs of turbo charged Chev in the Granda. A personnal favourite for me,the 6.9ltr TVR Cerbera, which managed the mile in 25.5secs at 181.9mph............. The best race marshalls you will find at any one of these events
  15. Birds like that are always at these events, and she knows it.She gets the ump, because she thinks that one day,i will end up getting killed at one of these events, and she,s left to sort out disposal of the vehicles. Her wish nearly came true at one point on sunday.
  16. Still recovering from sunday. But what a day, will post some photos later. One thing though. Some of the race marshalls were easy on the eye.Heres a taster. .............................
  17. The intial thread was running on Pistonheads.com a few months back, and was one of the most posted threads in PH history,as there was a blow by blow account with pics over the course of one weekend, when the excavation started. From memory ,work has now halted,as it got to a stage where bigger equipment was needed and there was a saftey and expense issue. He even found the remanants of two rifles, which looked strongly like Lee Enfields.
  18. There is a strong military connection, with this event. The fella, that dreamt up the idea is a pilot with 4regt AAC,and a couple of the runners are F15 Fighter jocks.
  19. I wouldnt dare.Although the man has his failings,he is still a top bloke. He and his wife have done a hell of a lot for the (Help The Heros) campaign.Which gives him a  from me.
  20. I managed to collect every issue of Wheels and Tracks.I know a few years back at W+P there was a stall selling every copy.Even thogh i had all of them,i still went along and bought some doubles.I was a bit amazed that when, the thread was put up on here regarding the BV award, awarded to Jack, that so few on here even knew who he was.It seems there are a lot on here very new to the MV world.
  21. I think the tank museum has one.Having seen it being demonstarated, then i conclude it wasnt very impressive.
  22. To be honest, its on-line forums, like this that will become the on-line magazines of the future, and will spell the end of the high street publication. Its already happening in other areas of motoring.
  23. It was the in-depth articles and the techinical data on the subjects at hand, coupled with some excellent photographs, from the archives,no matter what subject it was on.Barts knowledge was very impressive,un matched by anyone since.A far superior publication to the glossys we have now.But i wont complain too much,as its all we have
