  2. They are not meant to be removed, but sometimes can come loose.
  3. Does anyone have an old Ferret B60 solex carb knocking about, does not have to be complete, I just need the main body. one of the main jets snapped off mine when I tried to clean it  Some times the jet tower that is meant to be pressed in comes loose, I would settle for this part either.
  4. Not to mention the B80 carb is a lot bigger too.

  7. Hi guys, was wondering if anyone has an old 1980's map of any of the German military training areas, It doesn't matter if its bean fabloned and cut down so long as its in reasonable condition. I would like one as a prop for the turret of my Ferret. Thanks Ross:thanx: Ps. was trying to put this in the wanted section but couldn't figure it out, I know, its easy when ya know how:banghead:
  8. Looking forward to seeing this baby coming back to life:D.
  9. Hi guys, Haven't done much with 18ET29 in the last few months but I have bean stripping down the donner vehicle. I started to strip the wheel station and tried to remove the hub and outer swivel ball as one unit by splitting the drive between the inner and outer swivel ball's, but no matter what I tried it just will not split. Is there something I am doing wrong guys??
  10. Glad to see you started with a galvy chassis, did a fantastic job on the bulkhead too, the two main week points on any Landrover. Keep up the good work. Ross
  11. I beleave this happened in the falkland's too, and I'm sure I read somewhere that very few CVRT made it onto the islands.
  12. Thanks Guys. I sent an e-mail to Military muckabouts, They have said they can make a replica for me but need pictures to go off, I sent them a good pic of the barrel but I need one of the Buffer Housing.
  13. Does anyone have any pic's or drawings of the buffer housing on the back of the GPMG when fitted in its mount, also was the trigger housing removed when being fitted??
  14. Hear are a few pics of Browning's fitted in Ferret's
  15. Andy, I think these are the guy's you saw at War&Peace. http://www.military-muckabouts.webs.com/ I sent them an email to find out if they do the l37 variant for the turret. will post up what they say. In the meantime I would love to see some pic's of how the GPMG fits into the mount.
  16. Was the hand grip and trigger housing removed to fit it into the gun mount??
  17. I Want to stamp my new date plate but not sure what to put in the "class of repair, date, wksps. no, inspection" section, any help would be great. Ross
  18. Has anyone got the dimensions of triangle shaped 352 radio frame in this pic,as I wish to make one up. Thanks Ross
  19. I find it best to tape up the ends once removed, I always for get witch one I should remove first.
  20. Not sure if I could afford to bring it across the pond from Ireland, or if I will be finished restoring it:-(. But I would love to bring myself, that would be a sight to behold. I have heard there is another (diesel powered) Stolly in Ireland, haven't met him yet but its on my to do list, will pass this info on to him if he doesn't already know. Ross
  21. On the note of vehicle history card's, can anyone explain my one, I don't understand a lot of it.:cool2: I know this pic is hard to read: Vehicle reg, 00DD24.Type of vehicle: A. ( I am guessing this refers to it being armoured as opposed to soft skin "B" vehicle). Vehicle asset code, A 03 (0130 4231 is crossed off) 0135 4000. (I think this means it was fitted with a GPMG). EIN, 1HB08. UIN, A0362A 16/3/76. I also need to re stamp a new data plate, I have a new blank plate. It would be nice to know what to put where, (some of it is self explanatory) especially the mod's and overhaul's etc.
