  1. Thanks for posting link to those wonderful photos. They unfortunately show what I'm most afraid of, losing tracks. But then the video looked so fun that it made up for the track losing part. I think what you say about rather looking at tracks than engine is good advice! I've seen severel weasels converted with Toyota diesel engines around here in Norway. A little bit of history for you here, the norwegian army appears to have had over 2000 weasels. I think the have about the same amount of BV206s. Marty
  2. I wouldn't mind spending the day in that park. Intresting to see cowboys and romans as well as the green MVs. Nice photos! Marty
  3. Tell me what you want to translate and I'll see if I can help you out myself! Marty
  4. Hi! I took the liberty of posting this request on a norwegian forum, hope they can help you! http://www.network54.com/Forum/86929/thread/1190822349/Dodge+Radio+vogn Marty
  5. Just watched a preview of Ken Burns the war and must say that it really looks intresting. This is a documentary shown on PBS this fall. But can be found at http://www.amazon.com/War-Film-Burns-Lynn-Novick/dp/B000R7NBMK/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/105-4258804-1566036?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1190663046&sr=8-1 Marty
  6. The great movies are still the greatest... D-day, A bridge too far, Battle of Britain and so on. The main reason why they still are the greatest is that they had all the right equipment around. As I said, I hate computer animated planes and tanks. The two latest Clint Eastwood movies are very good, but I know there wasn't that many LSTs around when they made the movie... I really liked Kelly's heroes, my uncle rented it on vcr early in the eighties and I got to watch it while quite young. Of course I didn't know which movie it was until I saw it again years later. But it's good to know that I'm not alone. Marty
  7. I think that the Jersey link will keep me busy for the rest of the night, which is ok since I drove my Dodge for 4 hours earlier today and have tomorrow off from work... :-D Marty
  8. I gues it is some kind of disease we have... :shake: Marty
  9. Looking at it, it has won a lot of rewards. The photos show several real MVs. Since it has a Dodge in it, it can't be that bad! :-D Marty
  10. I don't mind if it a bad movie either. As long as there are googd old green stuff, I'm happy. That's why I've been buying all the war movies I can get my fingers on. Long winter here in Norway... Actually I prefer the old ones even though some aren't that good, but at least they got real vehicles. Movies from today have some computer generated planes and vehicles that ruin the movies. I'm going to watch the trailer now. Marty
  11. For fun you you ought to have a look at this movie about three british fighters in Malta during the war. It's fully fictional and also fully computer made... http://www.wingmenproductions.com/content/movie.html Marty
  12. A couple of days a norwegian newspaper brought a link to a database with lots of wartime photos from norway. This is mainly photos taken by german soldiers occuping the country. Since there were about 350.000 german soldiers in norway it is no suprise that there's also a lot of photos. http://www.eggan.net/ Marty
  13. I'm spending way too much time in here! And it's taking control over my life. I read your reply to this thread, and last night I dreamt I went looking for MVs. Just like some of you guys wrote... Scary! So Jack and his evil empire has conquered another soul. Marty
  14. Well, that doesn't sound very intresting I guess!? Neither did I think when I saw the rest of the agenda, but it's important. But this one took a rather intresting turn. My neighbour told me that I ought to check the garage at the place I was going. The owner had an MV of some sort. Showed up early and brought my camera just in case. And what was the firt I saw? Three of these... http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2310.jpg[/img] Then I went to taslk with the first guy I saw which was the cook. It was his brothers place and it turned out both of them had a intrest for these green machines. He's infact owner of the only norwegian first price at Beltring. "The boogie bar" which is a wc62/63 with norwegian winter camo. He's a really nice guy, so it doesn't matter that his brother is away. We get to the kitchen part, where he ca tell me it's a swedish post war type. Since it belongs to his brother I have to get in touch with him some other time. But since he has a spare burner/heater for M-1937 he ask if I want it for free, which of course is something you can't turn down. He doesn't have it there, but while I'm in the meeting he drives home o get it for me. Now, isn't that great!? They don't have the MVs at that place so I didn't get to see them this time. After the meeting I take alternative route home, because there's something I'd like to check out. Unfortunately it's not for sale or in the shape I like'em. But it has been a Weasel. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2326.jpg[/img] So after this budget meeting I'm trying to find room for a field kitchen and Weasel in my budget... It was a nice day! Marty

  17. Charity for what if I may ask!? Nice vehicles here also! Marty
  18. Hmmmm..... Am I going crazy or what!? I swear that the last time I looked at these photos the first picture was a Catalina... Today it's not! :? Sorry guys, I'm losing it... :dunno: Marty
