  3. Wow, That is something I've missed. Incredible aircrft! That lowpass was awesome. Marty
  4. This commercial for bread sure beats a lot of new movies I've seen... :-( I'm not sure that is a good thing! And now I know what bread to buy in England! Marty
  5. Would it be possible to see a photo of your stuff? If you'd like to save the suprise for W&P, you could mail me photos, since I'm not going there. :-( (I think) Marty
  6. Hmmm... I always hought that SR-71 was the fastest plane in the U.S. invetory. I also belive that I've seen figures saying that the F-15 was capable of Mach 2,5 and the F-14 Mach 2,34. I didn't even know that the F-104 was as fast as mach 2,2, isn't that the same as the F16? I guess it depends a lot on what height the speed is measured!? But now after 5 posts without any photos I think this thread needs a couple of photos! :-) Marty
  7. And I was just about to tell you!!! ;-) About Dusseldorf that is, which I used the last time visiting Holland. Marty
  8. Does anyone have photos of this vehicle in miltary use? Marty
  9. Phew... It's early! I actually thought you'd seen a spotted M20! I really ought to go back to bed. It's oing to be a long day. Marty
  10. Looking very nice! You must have put down a lot of hours getting ready for this!? Marty
  11. You might be right for all I know! Doing a little research on a subject I know nothing about I found the logo to look a little like the pierce logo. Marty
  12. These are Pierce trucks??? Oshkosh own Pierce right!? Think I just saw a programme on discovery. Marty
  13. Well, I gotta say that you're far off target! :-) Of course this is the swedish Trupptransportkärra 821! :-) Personnel Trailer 821 with seating for 16, 10 back to back and 4 face to face. There's a picture in the bible at page 308. I do belive it also was pulled by regular tractors. Marty
  14. Hi Cedric! I know that http://www.olav-teigen.no/volvo.htm sell BV202s, but can't recall if I've seen any BV206s. I can fully understand that you'd like one in Finland. I wouldn't mind one either bu we have rules that won't let us drive offroad with these vehicles. Not sure how many parts on a pallet, but guess that depends on what kind of parts. The classic vehicles sold earlier were usually in good shape. Looking at the photos of the MB240 I'm not sure. These are of the last lot, so I guess the good ones went first. Marty
  15. To compete with the Withams, I'm posting a link for the army auction at the nearby Hovemoen, located in Lillehammer. The norwegian army famous for selling off great american truckss and jeeps. But times have changed... http://www.auksjon.no/nma.dll/Forsvaret For sale this time, wire, used tires, rubber boats, field kitchens, office equipment, spares for BV206 and MB240, someMB240s, some water trailers and larger Mitsubishi and MAN trucks. Not a single jeep, not even a Volvo any more. :-( Marty
  16. This one is also located in my neighbourhod. do believe it's still there, the Jimmy is not! Does anyone know what it is? I do! Marty
  17. Lately in the local newspaper there's been a discussion about properties with a lot of garbage. So what is garbage? One of the properties contains quite a few MVs. (Relax this not my parents place where we keep our MVs during the summer months!) But it is a guy that we have visited a couple of times, he's quite a character and the locals just call him "Bin Laden". (Once again you can relax! He's not connected to that network at all. Most of his gear is allied anyway.) I can't really say that I see it as a problem that he keeps this in his yard. He's not living in central area either, so who does it really bother? Here's a few photos of the stuff he keeps. I might have posted these before, but the subject is at least new! :-) Anyway, he has my full support! Marty
  18. I've been looking thru some old photos and found some from the fort outside of Aalborg in Denmark. Marty
  19. I visited the USS Lexington in Corpus Christie as well, but can't findany phos from there. The same thing with the lone star flight museum in Galveston. I don't know what happened to those photos. I think I have some of the USS Texas somewhere. Marty
  20. Hard to take good photos, but a nice collection of planes. A must do, if visiting NYC. There's also the USS Edson and a submarine which name I cannot recall at the moment. Marty
  21. I was looking thru some old photos, when I found a few from the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid on the Hudson river. I've been there a couple of times and really like it there. Lots of nice plane. Marty
  22. Congratulations! Are HMVF considering starting a kindergarten? Or will that be a pathfinder company? Better start early! My son got a camo baby bottle from a friend of mine. Marty
