The Dorset Boys will have Hardyferret on the team :-D - at the last match each time it was his 'go' the guys doing the putting up took cover behind a barricade of tables!!!! :shake: and the back wall of the ally has now had to be reinforced........................... He..he.....he...I think the weekend is going to be huge fun - Mvs doing there stuff, a load of 'boys and their toys' running around on Salisbury plain - with permission, camped next to a pub, the chance that Jack will see more Orbs and maybe the Drummer Boy :schocked: , HF working his magic in the skittle ally :evil: ....................... the only thing missing so far is Markheliops and his two new friends :whistle: with their camera man. :whistle:

You missed watching an afternoons entertainment today from 3 Jimmys, John Ilott, Lawson & Jack and a whole heap of steel braided cable - all aided and abetted by just about everyone involved on the military section and watched with amusement by the lads from the Mini Steam - one said to me 'they won't be happy till they've broke it'.............. :shake:..........................   3. Sorry to hear that Ashley - but we will look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Jack will be warming up his tonsils for the 11.45am arena on Sunday morning - so will probably be saving himself on Saturday evening run out :whistle: Must dash - have just set up the caravan with himself installed as 'on site security' :-o :n00b: they had better all behave themselves up there tonight. I am going to have a hot bath and a peaceful night before going back the fray tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you all. Ta TA for now :tup:
  4. is it some sort of bathing apparatus :? he is carrying a type of BUCKET - Folding - Canvas :shake: I wasn't going to get involved in any of the previous folding canvas bucket stuff but it looks like I have been sucked in unwittingly

OK - I am now putting my foot down with a firm hand and committing the Hardy/Mowag/pigging/lightweight/ uncletomcoblyandall/ferrets to attending this fun and mud/dust filled extravaganza :-D and may it be known know that if anything tries to get in the way of us attending this time ...........there will be trouble.   8. HOW SAD ARE WE :? it just about 1/2 past 7 on a beautiful Sunny Saturday morning and Mark, Chappers & Mrs HArdyferret are sat indoors playing with paper planes on the computer :dunno: :? :dunno: We should be outside playing with green things............
  9. Is it some sort of bulk bandage carrier ie for use with splints and the tool on the bottom is a knife for cutting of the appropriate amounts
  10. Steady.................... actually I can sympathise with Jack here. He has two socking great GMCs and Mrs HMVF's car + whatever visitors drop in all parked on a stretch of tree shaded tarmac drive. Somebody must have a good proven cure for oil stained tarmac :dunno:

It has been brought to my attention that rumours a flying around that Purbeck Rally has been canceled due to Foot & Mouth NO PURBECK RALLY HAS NOT BEEN CANCELED we do not have livestock in our show (only ferrets) and the farmer still needs to earn his money from the rent of the field. Until all public footpaths are closed across farm land I cannot see the situation changing. If I hear anything more I will let you know.

  17. immediate response - its interesting The types, uses, history of the vehicles. The places and events (past & present) that you become aware of through having the vehicles The places you get to visit and the people you get to meet and to me the most interesting of all is the stories those people tell you. (Through our involvement with this hobby we discovered HMVF, got to meet a whole load of new people and had a far more intersting time at Beltring this year because of that.)

  21. Tut, Tut, Tut. Jack is this sort of behaviour allowed :? Next years dates are - 16th, 17th & !8th August 2008 (Camping should be available on the show field from Wednesday 14th Aug)
  22. Most importantly the proceeds go to local charities and deserving groups. It costs the grand sum of £3.50 per Adult to get in to the show. Free car park £1.00 for a programme that has a free draw ticket on the back for you to fill in. The 1st prize is £100. 2nd prize £50. 3rd Prize £25. Saturday Morning - Auction sale of Bygones Events in the arena during the day, including the Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance flying in at approx 1pm - subject to extingencies. At 3pm the High Sheriff of Dorset will present the Trophies to the winning exhibitors. Last year the Military Vehicle Cup was won by a Humber 1941 4x4 Tourer. Owned by Terry Paskins Sunday Morning Car Boot Sale and Arena events during the day. (including Military Vehicle Parade at 11.45 am. ( not to early for Jack) :sleep: There are the following things on display:- Ex Military Vehicles - including something special from Bovington Tank Museum ;-) Tractors Commercial Vehicles Vintage Cars Classic Cars Miniature Steam Engines Stationary Engines Motor Cycles There are also many Trade & Craft Stalls, a Beer tent, a sprinkling of 'ner do wells' but hopefully lots & lots of happy people.
