  3. Thank you for those kind words - I've got a warm fuzzy feeling now. :flower: Now we really have to keep up the standard :? Well we have got arena time on Sunday with the golden tones of our very own Mr HMVF doing the commentary and a Judge to give all the entrants the once over on Saturday afternoon with the Trophy being presented on Sunday in the main arena, by the high Sheriff of Dorset I believe. :-o So come on chaps, get in touch, we would love to see you. Oh and I nearly forgot - we could try to repeat the now legendary 'CHIP SHOP RUN' :schocked: :-o :schocked:

  5. OK here are some more photos from the weekend. rather poor quality I'm afraid as I was only using my little Compaq and it was stretched to the limit at times with the bright sun and being bounced about. For the public demonstration on the beach on Saturday some of the vehicles where taken down onto the beach so as to be driven over the bridge once the beach had been taken and the bridge built. All in the blazing sunshine and under the gaze of hundreds/thousands of sightseers. We were instructed that under no circumstances were we to dismount from our vehicles once the battle had started as the army was taking health and safety to the max. (Personally I could not see a problem as most of the time the poor lads could not get their weapons to work any way - lots of frantic bashing and shaking.) http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Weymouth%2007/IMG_6742.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Weymouth%2007/IMG_6733.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Weymouth%2007/IMG_6753.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Weymouth%2007/IMG_6761.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Weymouth%2007/IMG_6772.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Weymouth%2007/IMG_6780.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Weymouth%2007/IMG_6788.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Weymouth%2007/IMG_6802.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Weymouth%2007/IMG_6816.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Weymouth%2007/IMG_6823-1.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Weymouth%2007/IMG_6827.jpg[/img]

  7. I did not know I was in the company of the pink cusion at the weekend - Jack you are such a little tease keeping it hidden from me. I do remeber the first time I saw it .......................... It was the Rememberance Day Parade in Poole Park 2005.......................... when the GMC was in its Abattoir Cam.................................. http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/MrsHardyferret/Odds/GMCAbattoirCam_3059.jpg[/img]
  8. Terrific Photos Joris. I found the ones on the beach d-day+63 very moving.
  9. I may be able to help here - :-D I know one Jerry who is always stone deaf when asked to do anything around the house. As for the Barn Door/shotgun thing - it would depend on how far he would need to throw the shotgun to hit the barn door. :dunno: He does have his own black rubber wet suit ............
  10. Hi Mark Welcome, step in and enjoy. But please remember to take off oily boots before you come into the club house, and, if you are last out at night can you switch off the lights and put the cat out. :-D
  11. Hi Simon  Welcome to the forum. Make yourself at home and enjoy. No doubt Jack will be along soon with the dancing girls and your personalkey to the drinks cabinet.
  12. I'm on the map now. Sorry to invade your personal space Ashley
  13. What with ??? :dunno:  Paint Bombs Just dig those crazy colours man
  14. Nice one. Don't see many vehicles in Essex cam :schocked:
  15. Jack Give Jerry a ring on his mobile as sone as you get a chance - he wants to see about coming over ASAP. Between the three of us we should be able to nail exactly where it is and what is causing it and then hopefully we can see about fixing it. You can not miss out on Bolero - it just aint an option mate.
  16. We gave our ferret its best weekend of excersise yet. 0630 am Friday Jerry drove it to The camp site at Weymouth, 1100am drive into Weymouth for a photo call at the Pavilion then around the town for a jolly and back to the camp site. 0930 am Saturday again into to the town to the pavilion again to park up with a now larger selection of vehicles. 1100 am move down along the seafront and down onto the beach to while the bridge building team do there stuff. Move off accross the beach over the bridge and back the the pavilion. Then we were all off for a drive from Weymouth to Portland Bill lighthouse on the tip of Portland. Police escort, a jeep then us followed by a dodge WC, The Sherman, 4 Jimmys and then I lost count. Sunday was the parade allong the entire length of the sea front from Lodmore to the Pavilion. At the end of the day back to the campsite. Finaly approx 7.30 pm drive back home to Holton Heath. Both tired, well and truly roasted by the sun but absolutly elated. I will post some pictures on the 'Weymouth weekend' thread later today. Now thats what having an MV is all about......... :-D :-D :-D
  17. That has just sent shivers down my spine :schocked: I wish I had thought to video the sherman as it followed up the hill from the harbour. The sound from the engine just totally enveloped us and that was with my Com's set on :schocked: at first I thought it was a plane low overhead. We have not been able to move over to the Dark Side as Jerry calls it, but we were both very happy to be in the that company on Sunday. :-D
  18. Good to see the Beckettmobile on film - That is the best weekend I have ever spent with the MVs, great weather, great company, great vehicles and what an atmosphere. :schocked: And all thanks to the hard work of Poppy and the team. Just hope we get invited again next year.
  19. Well Jerry along with Pete, Bernie, Bob have just completed 110 miles today Traveling from St Mere Eglise back home to Dorse by Jeep, vomit rocket and SII l/weight
  20. Greetings & Salutations Sir Clive I have asked Jerry for a report on Wessex MVT 2006 and he said that there were about 40 vehicles and half a dozen traders. I hope this help with your dision making. See you soon hopefully SUE PS Jerry said you would like one of these
  21. Just watched the video for the first time :schocked: I love it.............good on 'em ......... Real feel good stuff for a Monday morning
  22. :goodidea: Personally I think Chanel is always a good choice, especially No 5. I should think she will be very pleased, :kissoncheek: and I am ultra impressed that you shopped for yourself and didn't rope in the help of a third party. I know that the cosmetics counters of many stores can be a very intimidating place for any one that is not of the Victoria Beckham or Cindy Crawford type. If himself comes back from France on thursday with a bottle of No5 tucked under his arm for me I would be very happy, but sadly I am more likely to be presented with some rusting piece of war time hardware that he has dug up from the corner of a field.......... :redfaced:
  23. I agree whole heartedly with your view Jack. Aren't we in general green enough with the amount of recycling we do - vehicles, parts, kit etc :dunno:
