  1. Have a great birthday. Bet the sun shines.
  2. Hope you dont mind me asking question on this thread. Not my era but I have a 'Jerkins, Leather, No2 CAMOUFLAGED' Dated 44' I have never seen another, has any one else? It looks like the leather has been sprayed camo olive green. Can take pics. when able if any one intrested.
  3. Yep, my mates and myself be there. Which hall will you be in? Going to be naughty and hopefully add to the collection.
  4. Thumbs up for finding and posting. Thank you.
  5. Just going through to-days finds from the Northern Expo. Friend spotted a 68ptn. smock, very worn, some replaced buttons. Unusual because of the colours of DPM. At £3 worth it for intrest. Turns out made by Jeltek Weatherguard Ltd. If my camera does justice to the colours will post pics. if intrested.
  6. Sure had a great day. Did not take a lot of cash, came home with £1.50! and bags full of buy's can not believe , best buy, a rather nice 68 ptn smock for £3.00..yep £3!!!! Highlight of the day... met Jack twice. :-)
  7. Sorry carn't help with heater. Great to hear you had restored another 2A though.
  8. Thanks for the reply. Real pleased over the shirt date.
  9. Pumps! It has been sugested who would have been issued with white as usually black. Came in a kit bag of clothing, all a bit damp, mouldy.Pully, shirts trousers. Badged Para.
  10. Thought I would start the thread with a shirt in my collection. Pity it has lost its labels but can see where they have been, two off. The pics. are not as clear as I like due to resizing. But think the cloth shows well enough. More of a coarse feel to it. Hoping of a age that is correct for the 60's.
  11. Thanks for the very intresting answer ferretfixer and photo. on the use. Like I said on another forum, seem to be thin on the ground now. Well worth adding to the collection.
  12. Welcome to the forum from another Landi. fan. Looks a great project.
  13. Thanks, not learnt yet how to search site for previous threads :red:. Nice pics. though!
  14. Have in the shed plugs thinking may have fitted my 1980 Airportable, now dont think so. Really quite old, any ideas what vehicle may have fitted as I have three. (Lodge SR2) Thanks. Andy.
  15. This the type of trouser I posted pics of a while ago?
  16. Great news Paul. Looking forward to a ride in it, and some pics.
  17. Looking a brilliant job. Great info. pics. Good luck with the project.
  18. Welocome to the Land Rover forum, opps. sorry folks, anything military forum :-D
  19. This is only my opinion as a bayonet collector of many years. It does not look 'right' from the pics. Never seen the hand grip of a genuine khukri. The frog reminds me of a 'hand grip' from a 51mm mortor tube. My thoughts from pics. I may be totally wrong. Not 100% on the DPM of the scabbard but if 83' must be 68ptn?
  20. Had a chance to take photo's of a 9x9 tent that is different/modified to the usuall standard. Differences, a side door to the rear of the left hand side fastened with a wide band of velcro, step over threshold. The front of the tent has extended roof and sides approx. 2' 6" with large eyelets every 18" or so along the front edge. Any idea's why the variation or what situation it would have been used for? I'm tempted as I have realised that facing another 9x9 the extension would act as a brilliant 'gasket'. Have I answered my own question! Thanks for any info. or picks of one set up.
  21. Welcome to the forum. Great looking Landi.
