  15. Hi and welcome to the forum, great to see so many reenactors joining. What a interesting era your doing. I also have friends in forces 80, my interest is British Army and kit of the same period, in particular signals. Will have a look at your site. Andy.
  16. Tryed searching forum for a answer to my question, which I should know anyway. Picked up FFR type spark plugs at Shugborough for £1.00- champion RSN 12Y. Does anyone know what they fit or suitable for my FFR? Checking my spares box for plugs, I have two used sets all bought for my Landi from a Landi dealer, and found they are different sets! Dont have handy, mate wanted to take them to clean in His machine. Which is the correct plug for my 1980 Landi? Thanks for clearing up my confusion. Andy.
  17. Hi. This genny. has a input fan and a output fan for air cooling. The hoses are for air flow and the heating of space, i.e. drying out kit after a sudden downpour. It appears to get the 9x9 very hot in a short time.Compared to my mower it is quieter. Ten mts. away need to know its there to notice it, and that close to the tent still chat to folks and listen to the radio no prob.
  18. Thanks folks. Transtar told us that events were held at this site ten or so years ago, and this is the third year I have displayed. (but not with Transtar Promotions, who put on great events and have a good following in this part of the world) Andy.
  19. Was able to set up on the Sat. afternoon for this event I had been told 1200 entries were booked in. Given a great spot under a small group of trees in this fantastic setting. Took me approx. 4hr to set up, with a storm thrown in for good measure. Good weather Sun. morning and the enteries started arriving early. They came and came and kept comming. Sadly only five military turned up out of the eleven or so booked in. But we were joined by a member of the public in a fantastic turned out GAZ 69 Commander, we got on very well inspite of being from 'the otherside' and hope to meet up again as He is a local chap. Did not get chance to look round the event and other vehicles as the public started to arrive, and did they arrive in large no's. Busy talking about my set up all day. (no lunch again) The largest collection of auto jumble, stalls etc. including one that had boxes of mint ex W.D. kit from my intrest era that just had to go. Spent up:embarrassed:. Lucky a mate was able to get it home for me. Great event and told hope to be back next year, but prob. need to book early. Just a few pics. as camera battery went flat.
  20. One in my brothers garden! Or was, must ckeck if still there. Half one anyway, we made a fish pool out of it when kids. Why it was in the middle of Staffordshire we never knew. But we still have a depth charge that is used as a garden roller.
  21. Hi folks. I recieved a request for data plate details of this ferret hoping it may help a member trying to trace the history of His own. The owner knows it had a couple of trips to Cyprus, I will try to pay Him a visit as He does know whitch units it served with. Anyway plate details. 1475 FV18378 01.Ca.11 BASE O/HAUL 2/890 34CE 11T The lower row of No. have not been stamped very clear.
  22. Thanks for the printer lead. May take you up on it, but just got back from Shugborough and found a email from a mate who has one spare. But we will need two anyway. Been realy chuffed with the genny this event , as the first time used in earnest. Think I have dropped on a good un. It's a Badnam DB10 Mk II. Signals variant.Very, very quiet. Wont even mention how much I saw one for at W&P! Will post a couple pics of the event when sorted, but one of the genny.
