  1. Some pics of a TS17 3 belonging to a frend of mine ,it was rebuilt from the remains of a search light truck found in a showmans yard.

  4. projects slowly starting to take shape ,got some routh but restorable side for the bed at the weekend ,just need one catch for the tail board .

  7. It allready fited with the 2.2, has new head gasket and clutch ,will post some more pics when i go down with the camera ,came with spair engine and hard top ,drives ok so looks like it should not take to long to get it to a mot abble state .

  10. My best layed plans have gone to pot so far , been past the site twice today to fix a gen set , hope to get there as soon as i refit the rebuilt pump in the morning fingers crossed, will make it sunday switching fone off .
  11. They list one for the 404 unimog claming that it makes it sutable for unleaded fuel ,witch is a laff as the stanard engine has hardend valve seats and sodium valves from new.
  12. would v8 diesel fit te space best of both ,v8 sound with diesel econimy.
  13. Yes will be there, went last year on sunday, good event daughter loved the play pen for the MVs hope to take the mog up on thursday morning befor i go to work.
  14. The only one i can add info on is the E boat witch is now part of the Wheatcroft collection and is been stored near Torpoint in Cornwall.
  15. good display daurter had plenty of quesions about it ,brill day no mones about been bored just insayshuble apertite ,look forward to the next one hope to bring the mog ,need to start saving for the fuel 200 mile round trip worth it.
  16. looks like a nise job for the weekend ,now were that mig welder ,wonder if work would let me youse the big lathe to turn the turret ring ,might need a little more than metal spray for the rollers and sprokets.

  18. The one i remember was i the main yard at Rocester ,im sure it was a gun tank not a AVRE ,last sore it in the late 80s.
  19. been askin some of the older staff on my last visit posibly in the woods on the estate ,never sore it run ,youst to drive past it 2 or 3 times a week in the mid 80s looked in pritty good shape for its age .will do some more diging next time im there.
  20. I youst to be a regular at JCB in the mid 80s ,at this time there was a tank sat in the stock yard ,I seem to think it was a chirchill all conpleet bar the main gun having been gas axed ,any one know what happend to it.
  21. will see if i can get some copied, most trucks are Jeep or QL with a varity of different trailers .

Been going through some old photos of my farthers time in the signals atached to the RAF in the early 1950 , notised that all there moters had the RAF roundal on the rear as well as there own markings ,on asking was informed that all air formation signals units carried the roundal and traveld on RAF papers ,thourt this bit of yousles info might be of intrest .
