  1. The Sun is back out. Lots of activity around the site by Rex's team. New water pipes being laid for water points, hard fencing going up all over the site & more people arriving & setting up camps. Bumped into a few forum members already
  2. Not too warm & a bit windy here this morning. Off out in a bit to find Chris's CVR(T)'s & move them to his plot. Photos this afternoon .
  3. Unfortunately there are those that will not follow the rules, in the pub last night I was speaking to the farmer who's farm is at the end of the racetrack he said he has had to phone Rex already due to quads driving on his land.
  4. Important bit out of the way, found the pub... Dukes Head... 2 miles away from show in Sellingde :undecided:
  5. I suspect your may think differently if an uninsured kid crashed into your MV, IMHO kids have no place bombing around any show site. If they want to ride bikes/quads there are clubs out there they can join that cater for that.
  6. Hope the driver is ok.. For those not on Facebook a bit more info.. Post War Military Vehicle Club Serious incident on M40 northbound Buckinghamshire involving a Scammel Explorer with living trailer and a Artic, happen early this morning. Sounds like the artic went into the rear of the Scammel combo at speed. No further details are available at the moment, we will keep you posted if we hear of anything. Our thoughts are with all those concerned with this serious incident. Thanks to Az and Neil for the info... Neil Thomas I passed it at 03:00 this morning,Scammell which I thought was an Explorer actually in th photo on the back of the landol trailer looks a bit Pioneerish. Either way,it was upside down, wouldn't want to be thrown round about in the cab whilst that was happening. Either way and unfortunately it didn't look good, thoughts go out to those involved.
  7. Very well put Mark. There has been quite a few trying the hardest to put a negative on the new show since it was announced, unfortunately some of the negatives are from forum members (the usual anti Rex Team) all I can say is it's their loss in boycotting the show. Best wishes to Rex & his team.
  8. At the M20 services before 11am at the subway you can get a bacon sub and a coffee for 2 quid. Also at the services a full English is £3.95
  9. Any event where there's public then certain parts of the road traffic act applies, public includes exihibitors, this has always been the case at W&P. if you drink drive/ dangerous driving at a show it's no difference to driving offences on a public highway.
  10. And the Set-up begins... Had a great day there catching up with people, Good to see Richard Farrant, Mark Hart, Sean (Protacman), Debbie & the Twickenham Offroaders & a few more.. To those that keep saying the site is too small... you are talking a load of tosh. Only complaint is it's too hot :-D A few photos from today..
  11. Update: Please find the only picture of my Jeep taken since its respray taken at my mates wedding about 2 weeks ago .The white ribbon was not on the Jeep when stolen or the escort vehicle sign. The chassis no is GPW 24648 Just to confirm ,its a hotchkiss body ,24volt etc on a Ford chassis. The numbers on the side of the bonnet are, 20248617 with a invasion star on the middle of the bonnet. Thanks again for all your help , Regards Adrian.
  12. I've got a BPA licence which I think is a bit more important
  13. For those not on FB here's a photo from the Official W&P page of the Arena Diorama being constructed..
  14. Just got of the phone to Adrian Scott, his Hotchkiss Jeep which is in WW2 guise has been stolen from his property in East Grinstead, they went to great lengths to take it, removing neighbors fences & hedges in the process. Adrian will be providing full details later but here what I have so far. 24 Volt Electrics. Hotchkiss Body on a Ford Chassis. Freshly Painted. Star & numbers on Bonnet. The bumper has the incorrect type of wood inserted, the wood in this jeep is an orangy hardwood which should stand out if it hasn't already been changed. On the dash the light & ignition switch is WW2 style but the start button is original Hotchkiss. On the N/S there is a canvas strap that has broken If anyone has any information or here's of a Jeep that may fit the description that is being offered for sale please email lee@hmvf.co.uk & it will be passed on to Adrian. Please share this information, not just in the Uk but also in Europe to make this Jeep to Hot to handle. As usual this thread will be locked so that the important details are not lost in dozens of posts.
