  1. Nothing to do with the forum, scan your PC but not with one of the free editions as they don't catch everything
  2. Try Phil on 07933 036050 or 01732 883105 K T Transport Ltd Stone House, The Street, , Ightham Sevenoaks, TN15 9HH 01732 883105 Phil is very reliable & has always come up with a good price. Mention Lee from Ongar, Essex recommended him.
  3. Sorry but I don't see how you can compare Insurance quotes for a replica vehicle to a Ex-Military Vehicle? Kit cars/Replicas will always attract higher premiums..
  4. Please post here, many members don't & don't want to use Facebook..
  5. Just a warning to those that don't know.. there ARE Scammers out there selling Welbike's that don't exist.. One member has recently been scammed out of a lot of cash.. I would suggest that unless the seller is recommended to you by someone you know who can be trusted or you can go & see the bike yourself then don't part with any cash.. http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?30216-Stollen-Welbike
  6. Can anyone identify this map case, British? what era? why the single clip on the strap rather than a full shoulder strap?? The Middle map pouch zips to the back cover. Cheers..
  7. If they are Insuring it as an Ex-Military Vehicle I would still get it in writing from them that they understand it is a kit/replica vehicle otherwise if you need to make a claim you might not have a leg to stand on..
  8. Strange, I don't think any of the Ex-Military Vehicle Insurers would class it as that. I would get it in writing from them that they understand that it was never a Military Vehicle at anytime..
  9. That is what it said in the link I posted & the link above has been posted on here a couple of times now. Again that being said they are still classed as Section 5 by Law & only an amendment of the Firearms Act through Parliament can change that.. It's very unlikely anyone would end up in court over having dischargers but if they do then that would be the ultimate test.
  10. You need Kit Car Insurance, not Ex-Military Vehicle Insurance..
  11. Section 5. vii) any weapon of whatever description designed or adapted for the discharge of any noxious liquid, gas or other thing (section 5(1)(b));

  13. The only way to find out for sure it to call all the specialist insurers..
  14. They are Section 5 under the true definition of the Firearms Act.. don't know where you get section 1 from ???? Strange that you have a Section 5 for sidearms but they wanted you to deactivate the smoke that you say is section 1?? I have a section 1 FAC with a calibre of 120mm, Section 1 FAC's are far easier to get than Section 5 But Again.. http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread...575#post367575
  15. http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread...575#post367575 If you were to get them deactivated here's the current standards ... Page 31 .. deactivation-of-firearms-2010-5.pdf
