  1. I have an ex-RAF regiment CVR(T) Spartan, which could come if you can sort out transport.

    Originality

Since so many people seem to get the wrong end of the stick, I'll try to define what I believe to be 'original' and see who else agrees. Original (in the context of military vehicles) In keeping with the spirit of the vehicle, in terms of colour, markings and accessories. Modifications in terms of safety, reliability and economy are not seen to affect originality providing they do not detract from the factory or in service look of a vehicle.

Mike, you missed the point. If it was painted pink, had random antennas, stickers, chrome wheels etc then stop it overflying a military show. Since it is not, then I see no problem with it.

    Originality

That's ok, if it stays away from military vehicle shows. When I started this thread, many moons ago, I was commenting on how people do that kind of thing (perhaps not always that extreme) to a vehicle, and then take it to a military vehicle show. I don't want to see anything like that an MV show. I want to see original, or well restored, examples of these vehicles.
  5. I could probably bring some vehicles, it's not too far away.
  6. Robin, I saw these on ebay in the US, someone has really gone to town on them. I am sure you'll do a good job of making them nice again! Chris
  7. 01FD43 was a Chieftain Mike...
  8. Vince, I wonder if his discs got wet and oily! Chris
  9. I saw this one at withams and thought it might have been an mct version. The roof hatches have been removed and a plate fitted over them.
  10. John, That paint looks brown in some of my photos too, but I'm sure it was green when I sprayed it! I think they do look good painted that colour though! Chris
  11. Hi Frank, I am in Sandiacre, shame you no longer run a haulage company as that could be very useful! Chris
  12. Richard, Plenty of threads on here about registering vehicles, and lots of info on the DVLA website or at the local DVLA office. Chris
  13. Neil, Everything is for sale for money! How serious you are dictates how far in the yard you get, so I expect not many people make it in to the shed. Chris
  14. 08FD98 is in the USA, not sure about 97 though. I've not updated my list for a while..
  15. Yep they look like the same ones... http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Lincoln,+United+Kingdom&ll=52.801991,-1.137316&spn=0.001161,0.002604&t=h&z=19
  16. Are these the ones visible on Google maps, not too far from Nottingham?
  17. I'd want a lot more than £4k for mine, I put a lot of work and thousands of pounds of new bits in to it. I also would rather have a Mk 1 than a Mk 2, if I want to drive a tank I'll take the Sabre
  18. Jack, This has to be a scam. The confusion of first name and surname, address copied and pasted from internet without knowing it was so obviously fake, etc etc. Chris
  19. The Mk 2 with the turret actually entered service before the Mk 1. I don't think you'll find a good one, on the road, for less than £5000. But then strange things happen, like the one on milweb with the GPMG which sold ridiculously cheap earlier this year.
  20. Ok I meant vertically, it was a long day!
  21. Nobody answered because nobody knows! You need to contact the manufacturer and ask. I suspect the answer is no.
  22. They are Chieftains. They have 12 pistons, horizontally opposed.
