  1. Neil, The number plate fits on an L shaped bracket which sits on top of the bumper. I got mine from Craddocks. You should have ordered one! Chris
  2. I wonder how Mr A Jones will come out in the psychiatric profiling?
  3. I will check the colours and sizes when I get in, I don't think I have any red. Probably only green/blue or yellow at a push. http://sirhc.co.uk/projects/forsale/DSCF0099.JPG[/img] Chris
  4. I have some poles, and I think I have some flags left. I had quite a few which I was selling on ebay a while back. I can check to see what I've got left if needs be, but I won't have any complete sets. Chris
  5. Remember they will look different on a computer, but here are the basic codes... http://www.stephen.hull.btinternet.co.uk/381.html Nato green is 285, it looks more brown on this website, but I guess it depends on your computer? Chris
  6. No worries Dave, I was going to just bring the Ferret anyway, but it never hurts to ask Chris
  7. Mick, I've been using SAE30 in mine for years with no problems. If yours is anything like mine you'll get through loads of EP90! Chris
  8. Mick, You will need to put SAE30 in the gearbox, and EP90 in the transfer box. If I remember correctly Richard F mentioned that a few ferrets took the same oil in both, but I'm fairly sure yours will be the same as mine. You could try flusing out the gearbox, I'm not sure what kind of cleaner would be suitable though. If I were you I'd drain it, fill it with fresh oil, run it for a few miles and then change the oil again. Hopefully that will get rid of any nasty old oil. Chris
  9. Any room on that low loader for a CVRT? Chris
  10. Karl, I changed the rear cross member on my Lightweight. You can get the military ones from Craddocks, I can't remember the price but it was about the same as a Civi one. Chris
  11. Here's a Lynx. It's like a Dingo's ugly sister... Chris
  12. The Scimitar they have listed is actually a Scorpion. It looks awful in the photos, but like the Spartan will probably clean up ok. I'll be going on Saturday hopefully. Chris
  13. If you were to say vehicles over 25 years old are classic/historic then pretty much all of the armour currently in service with the British Army is classic/historic. The 432s were built in the 60s, CVRTs in the 70's and even the Warriors from the 80's are getting close now. Chris

    4V6

Clive, The stores price marking says they cost £8.70 which seems quite cheap for something the MoD have bought. Thanks for the help! Chris

    4V6

Thanks Richard, I don't think it's meant to fit anything I have then! It does make a nice cover for a flashing beacon though. Chris

    4V6

Does anyone know what the 4V6 DMC relates to? I have a 1240 99 9614 207 Waterproof Hood & I'd like to know what it fits! Cheers Chris
  17. Where did the extra H come from in the title?
  18. What kind of mushrooms were they? Was the KK still there after the effects had worn off?!
  19. Mick, There are a few Austin K9s around without rear bodies, they turn up on ebay like that quite often. I'd have thought they were worth saving providing they're not too bad. Chris

  21. Mick, Is it coming out of the releif vavle at the top? Mine always fires hot oil at my leg from there on a long run. It is quite normal, just make sure it has the correct level in it. Chris
  22. Plans to build a racing car museum? His Dad has owned the collection of racing cars at Donnington Park for years (because he also owned Donnington Park!) - I'm not sure if he's sold it now, which is why they might have to move the museum?
  23. Simon, If I remember correctly the pack number was down on the frame near the gearbox, but it was a while ago and I don't have a 432 to go and check anymore! Chris
  24. Simon, The power pack number is on a tag on the side of the pack frame. If you remove the 2 cover plates by the side of the driver (they're 9/16 AF quick release connectors) you'll be able to see it. Number of seats, you decide! If you put down 3 and the police stop you with 5 people in it, what will they say? 24A is a tac sign, it depends who used it last. In the REME LAD 24A is an artificers vehicle. To find out who it served with you'll need the history card and a copy of the entry from the MoD computer. Try this address: ES (Land) Cencus Team Chetwynd Barracks Chilwell Nottingham NG9 5HA Chris
  25. Ian, They're not interested in selling it, it's far too much effort and they are making more than enough money for other things. When they did have a sale the stuff wasn't that cheap. Organising a tender sale, or a sale of any type would cost them a lot of time and money. They'll only sell it off when they need the space. Chris
