  1. I just had a Bowl of that for Breakfast...........
  2. Dont like that exposed spare wheel. It's just screaming to be shot at!.......:coffee:
  3. Is this the Pin head sized little ball containing poison that was fired into the leg of a Russian defector Spy in London. From a KGB Umbrella gun?
  4. A Type of Ordanance Projectile? (Old)
  5. Sounds like you had 'All your Eggs in one basket' Jack!..................
  6. As long as the Flag colours comply with Health & Saftey regs!...........:coffee: I would have said the aforementioned Nutters were more Dangerous than the expertly trained dogs!
  7. Whatever you want! usually: Tooth brush, tooth paste, soap in a stainless container, tin shaving foam, comb, razor or Batt operated razor, spare blades, stainless steel small mirror, Flannel, tube of E45 cream for gen purpose cuts, chaffs Etc, Lip balm for chapped lips. (Got very cold in November riding on the outside of 432's / 434's!) & whatever you wanted to make your life that little bit easier & comfortable!
  8. This young lad is trained in the SAFE hadling of Weapons & is probablly more aware of the dangers they pose than an Adult in most cases! His interest lies in collecting INERT & Permanatly harmless articles. He will be one of Tommorows Soldiers more than likely defending his country & keeping it free from opression.
  9. Bayonets No.5. The No.5 Bayonet was originaly issued for the Enfiled Jungle carbine. BOTH wartime & postwar variants are interchangeable. ALL Service issue bayonets have wood grips. The metal gripped variant was the COMERCIAL issue manufatured by Sterling & were NEVER in British Army service. (The blade ricasso is also marked Sterling on a box) The Bayonet was alegedly issued for 'Morale' reasons. Personally I would think it is a last ditch effeort if your that close! BUT, I can see a small application if you are hose clearing. If you turn a corner & 'Blunder' into an Enemy. Then it is a Natural reaction to PUSH OUT (& stick him!) The canadian version of the Sterling C2 takes a candian version of the slr bayonet. It is identical to ours except the retention catch is longer. The ORIGINAL L1A1 Bayonet had this catch, but it was found to be too exposed & many bayonets fell of upon the catch being struck by trees, wall, vehicles Etc. It was modified.
  10. Looks like a case of 'Hands on'.......................:coffee:
  11. I would be unhappy enough to Talk to a Blue Uniform with an Allegation of 'Driving without Due Care' to pile on the inconvienience of the other party being 'Blind'!.....:argh:
  12. I thought of that. What I was thinking was if fuel leaked out after a hit, it would make that gun platform VERY slippery & Dangerous! Deisel burns very well actually. Look at the new No.2 Cookers! In the desert, extra fuel is always carried, but I would have thought it should be stowed in armoured lockers? Of course it's safer than Petrol, But, It's still a very real Hazzard! A close hit with an RPG wouldnt leave the fuel spilt alone! As you know, the Ragheads LOVE the RPG & use it very frequently! :coffee:
  13. Just a stab in the Dark, But. is it a flat sort of 'cargo area in the rear? And also, that study looking square section bar. Does it have about 4-6 holes drilled in the top of it? (Barrel clamp) If so, it is POSSIBLE, that it MAY have been used as trials feasability study for a gun platform of some type. PERHAPS, Wombat? The Hydraulics mods you mention might be an attempt of some kind of rapid adustment like the Swedish 'S' Tank. I would have thought that the weapons own Elevation & Trav mechs would be sufficient. BUT, if the (Possible) weapon to be utilised was ridgedly mounted & possibly fired from within without exposing the crew. This would explain a lot. Trouble is, when the first round is fired, you need to get out to reload! BUT, the experimental boys got up to all sorts of Timewasting projects! Just a thought.
  14. Simply LOVE the look of those exposed Jerry cans on the back of the sand coloured variant of the Mastiff 'Pickup'!...................:cool2: Hope they arent carrying full ones when they deploy in Afganistan! :shake:
  15. Yep, Brown lives up to his Surname, his tounge is the same colour!! :cool2: (Especially when walking behind any Major, Power bearing president!)
  16. Hi there Beautiful, will you come to 'Grab -a -Granny' tonite?...............
  17. Well, I did wonder about the storage of a LARGE amount of content that many emails would cause! :shake: Seems it's no problem then?...............................(For now!) :cool2:
  18. I am not entirely sure about this one, but it may be worth checking out. I was informed yesterday by an EX Police Officer, that from yesterday (6th April) all Emails in the UK will be recorded & kept for three years. Generally not a problem for most of us. BUT, is this yet another example of the errosion of our Civil Liberties ?(If such a thing exists these days!) :argh: Information apparantly was gleaned from the Telegraph, considered an informative & reliable source normally. not an ordinary Rag just interseted in sensationalism.. I dont take this Newspaper, but it might be worth confirming / denying? :n00b:
  19. Bet it cant' make Tea though!....................:coffee:
  20. They will never spot us as a speed trap in this!.............
  21. Yes, we have heard about this Jack...You should be carefull. You can get done for things like that!
  22. And VERY UN-supprising!.........................:coffee:
  23. Damm! They are Flaming Molotov Cocktails.....................
  24. What it needs is everybody to fill up thier petrol tanks & really 'guide it on for a week'. If NOBODY (Or as many as possible!) Do NOT buy Petrol. The Petrol Barons will have big logistical probs! Petrol is on the move all the time if you think about it. Oil Drawn from the ground & pumped to tanks, held there then refined. Pumped to different tanks. Then pumped into tankers for sea transportation. Then out into more tanks, pumped into road tankers, driven through the nights & days to garages. pumped into garages tanks & finally into our cars/ vehicles. If you think about this as discribed above. it is actually happening ALL THE TIME! All the different processes in different stages at different times. It's moving all the time like a conveyer belt. If NOBODY purchases any petrol, what a logistic nightmare it will create! They will have to attempt to shift some of it by dropping the price. another few days & they will have to drop it again. if we use as little as possible & they are not selling it by the ton as they normally do. They will HAVE to do something! It's got to be worth a go? But we ALL need to play our part together or nothing will change! What are your thoughts Guys? (& Gals!) :??? Mike.
