  1. I know what you are thinking of Tony but these are larger markings with a corroborative label providing consignment details.
  2. Ingenious Bernard, but nope it is just from a manual with no fancy printing processes.
  3. Yes, the key to it is the transit. There was an "oh what a give away" clue in one of my earlier replies.:-D Just identification as to what was what rather than a special risk etc
  4. Yes, but I thought someone was going to say the brown triangle was the veterinary one Yes with labels on the right & recognition markings on the left Not priority necessarily.
  5. It is indeed. There is a veterinary one in there, anybody? So these markings are used in certain circumstances.
  6. Tony you're one step ahead of me if you think I'm that clever! You're on the wrong track with anything that goes up in the air in any form I'm afraid.
  7. Tony nothing up in the air about these markings
  8. Adrian, very good, getting very warm. Before we go into working out the significance of each marking(!), we need to establish the particular application in which these markings were used.
  9. Another plausible suggestion but nope. This is British Army if that helps anyone.
  10. Richard I hadn't thought of that one, plausible but nope.
  11. It certainly looks like that sort of thing but nope.
  12. I suspect something to do with motoring. Class A forms cover "General" subjects. Some 4-digit numbers above & below A.1253 are motoring related. I do have a catalogue of Army Forms unfortunately of the 182 pages(!) a couple are missing that would cover A.1253
  13. Mike not sure if this is a game or you are genuinely stuck;) But are there no document codes or annotations?
  14. I wouldn't bother hunting for the series EMER WHEELED VEHICLES Q 020-029 as they are just general & cover a wide range of Rover Mks & as such there is no ambulance coverage. The complete sequence spreads over four A4 binders. They are somewhat illogical in their layout. They are a mish-mash of Rover publications & devoid of some useful information although some is also covered in EMER POWER. A suffix defines a precise variant. Thus EMER WHEELED VEHICLES: Q 020/7 - Q 029/7 covers Ambulance, 2/4 Stretcher, Rover 7 After re-designation of Rover EMERs in 1969 became: Q 020/2 - Q 029/2 covers Ambulance, 2/4 Stretcher, Rover 9 & 11 Q 020/17 - Q 029/17 covers Ambulance, 2/4 Stretcher, Rover Series 3
  15. Interesting that the items with the RAF designation have no Domestic Management Code preceding the NSN. I would have expected to see 22G. However once it loses the RAF designation it acquires the Army DMC of CH. Searching 8415-99-135-7765 shows that is was deleted because of duplication with 8415-99-978-4523. Whether they were actually quite the same is another matter.
  16. A good find & excellent condition. I had a set but they went all hard & cracky, so had to throw them out in the end.

    Losing PMs

This is what I get when replying to a PM after I have written the message. I find some of the options are hidden up the man's jumper:cool2:

    Losing PMs

A couple of days ago I got an email notification of a PM on my phone. Read it, wiped it & went to my inbox to reply but it wasn't there. Same happened today with a PM from someone else. My Inbox is not full I tried logging out, clearing cookies & logging in again. But can't get the PM that should have been there. Other thing is I can never use the Quick Reply button as it is swamped by the advert banner on the lower right. I'm using Firefox 8.0 Anyone else have these PM problems?
