  1. Ah! We spoke via ebay. Would also like to see pics of your project
  2. Thanks for showing us around the project at the weekend, it looks and sounds incredible!
  3. Love this. There's a chap down at RAF Bentwaters near Ipswich who owns an as-yet unrestored one, they look great. Keep up the good work
  4. I hope Jamie doesn't mind me posting up a pic of where he was at last month... Tracks fitted and out for a test drive
  5. Well you know the week before A and E there's another show near you
  6. Amazing work Jim, read this thread all the way through today. Hope to see it in action soon!
  7. Hello! I'm one of the volunteers at the Dig For Victory Show down in Somerset. We're currently looking for both military and civilian vehicles to come along to our show! The focus of the event is Britain in the 1940’s and so we accept a wide range of period vehicles to make the scene complete. Although the event is focused on WWII there is a Timeline dedicated to the display of civilian and military post- war vehicles. If you fancy coming and bringing a vehicle, please follow this link and fill in the form: http://digforvictoryshow.com/get-involved/vehicles Here's a video of the 2015 event: It's a nice day out and plenty to see and do including military vehicle demonstrations (seeing a sherman tank powerslide was a personal highlight), music and dancing, talks, loads of displays, and shops too. If you have any questions about it then drop me a line!
  8. I didn't care a jot about Militants until I saw this thread. I love the timber tractor!
  9. Just had a look through your flickr thread, do you work at the Llangollen railway? I recognise the yellow unimog! And the trains, obviously... Looks like a great project with the living trailer too, hope to see a thread about it!
  10. Excellent stuff, do 2 militants qualify you for 'fleet' status?
  11. That'll be the one in the Shopland Collection http://shoplandcollection.com/armour/84-armour/88-fox-cvr Haven't been able to decipher the number yet but Richard reckons it might be a prototype due to the towing eyes on the front being in different positions, wading screen still fitted and 00 number. It's engine-less and for sale (open to offers, looking for about £1.5k for it).
  12. I recognise that, think it was at our show in 2014. Best of luck with the restoration
  13. Amazing work, just read this from the beginning. Keep it up!
  14. This surely marks the difference between 'restoration' and 'preservation'? There are plenty of vehicles, steam locomotives etc that are in a preserved but not running state, as to restore it would essentially destroy the item.
  15. Earlier on I was recounting to the Mrs. how as we were getting ready for Sunday's battle, the re-enactors huddled around the back of the Cromwell for warmth got a bit of a fright when it revved up!
  16. I got all geeky and paid for this negative of a Glossop Scammell to be scanned - reg is BY 371 You can view it here: http://www.na3t.org/road/photo/RK00058
  17. (off topic) Thanks Alex. That was more or less our original plan, but sadly upon further investigation we found that the impact was so hard it's twisted the entire chassis, one side has moved back about 4-6 inches even as far as the back axle, so the whole lot needs sorting out.
