Hi Guys

I have just been given a old Raleigh cycle with 28" wheels, the frame number starts with a 'U' which dates it to 1934 according to the Raleigh cycle website.

When I stripped off the 2 layers of black paint I found that the frame and rear wheel are a light shade of green and 'Nitromors' paint stripper wont shift it so its good paint ?

Could this of been an Infantry cycle ? I know very little about the military then or now but would like to learn !!!!! I dont know how to post photos either so if somebody gives me their email address I could send them the photos they could do it for me ?

Cheers Ian
