  1. It is amazing the difference new metal and a coat of red oxide makes.
  2. With it being too stiff to swing when it is warm, does this mean that the engine would have been left running all day when in war service? I was waiting for Steve to be given oxygen.

  5. Well spotted. It might be that the third photo was taken soon after the accident and the others as his hand started to heal. As Ian L doesn't like the new forum, I don't know if he will read your and my posts and then explain his "two left hands".
  6. A reminder of what the results can be when even a relatively light vehicle falls of a jack:- Ian L 10 Colonel Members 10 1,493 posts Location: In the shed or down the pub. 17. Would the engine have started any better with a £285.00 starter motor? Also, just think what you can now spend the £285.00 on.
  18. I don't know if you are missing something. Before I registered to join the forum, I was a "Guest" for quite a long time, this meant that I saw other peoples' introductions, posts and how the forum worked, so wanting to "make a good impression" and knowing a number of the forum users already (fellow MVT members) it was logical for me to introduce myself. I've never heard of any vetting of new members, unless this a secret task done by the Administrators and/or the Moderators.
  19. Now I'm used to the new forum layout, I don't have complaints. I think, that the contents of the posts on the forum are more important than the layout, a fantastic forum with all the whistles & bells and easy to use is useless, if no one is posting on it.
