  1. I go with Brit or British, can't go wrong there (I hope)
  2. Cool pics! I'd like to go do the Winterrally in the Ardennes like I did 3 times before. Howevet I'd have to sell the WC21 first so I can buy a Command Car.
  3. Called a Scto a Englishman. He wasn't happy but understood the mistake...

    Flamethrower

My brother has just bought it over the internet! He didn't know about the book and he has loooooooots of military books..

    Flamethrower

Andrew Wilson used the flame tank in 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) in the Netherlands. I live nearby that town.
  6. Really don't wanna know where you got that info from...
  7. That's a disturbing idea, let's hope there is a Policeman around
  8. Nope, phonetically almost the same. That is if you Pronounce Deutschland correctly (In German offcourse.) I am Tri-lingual so I know this for a fact.
  9. Bachelor party? :shocking: Handcuffed naked to a lamppost painted as the 6th member of the Village People I'm afraid... :naughty: Best of luck......

  12. :argh: Sounds like Deutschland...
  13. Thanks for your kind words, I've given the link to this forum to Mr. Surrey so there is a good chance he'll see the reply's. The booklet "A4 has casualties" is only a copied document. Here a website with some info about the patrol and monument. http://www.simonides.org/~recce43rd/page4.html The monument is very near where I live and we (my brother, his kids and me attend the annual commemoration there on our wardead remembrance day (May 4). I've done some additional research using old maps and photo's to try to correlate Mr. Surrey's memories of the layout and events which occured there.
  14. Well done Mick and the 514th! Looked at the pics, great stuff. Wish I could have been there and have fun again like at Beltring.
  15. Like Joris said nov 11th hasn't got a meaning for Dutchmen since we were neutral. Still because I know several British veterans I wear the Poppy which does get people's attention. Question; on British TV I see people wear Poppy's days before Nov 11. When does it start and why are they worn days earlier?

    Music

Cool musical taste! I like Metal...  :banghead:
  17. A Dodge is somewhat easier in size and fueleconomy. A WC 51 or 52 shouldn't be too expensive either. If a Jeep is too small/expensive and a GMC too big a Dodge is a good vehicle. Also a Dodge is reliable like a Jeep and GMC.
  18. Seen a Airborne GMC, its got a chassis which makes it possible to "break" the vehicle in 2 pieces!
  19. I took the photo in the Belgian Ardennes at the grounds of the Poteau museum. http://www.museum-poteau44.be/
  20. Hmmm, that's strange, but then again I don't understand computers. :-(
  21. Did any of you read the topic with the memoires?
  22. Looks good. Went to a WW1 event a few months ago near Paschendale, 150 re-enactors and me as the only one in a original WW1 uniform and gear (US). We got a movie shown with a real live orchestra playing music, very cool!!
  23. Whatever vehicle you buy bring someone who's knowlegable along.
  24. That's a good one, 5-10 GBP? With 2500 vehicles that would be 12500 -25000 GBP.
