NATO hitch sizes

Compasses

Question

Hi all

I've just acquired a NATO pintle to fit to a Land Rover - but the one I've ended up with is the larger size intended for Bedford trucks etc. Will this fit a Land Rover or is it just ridiculously oversized?

If it's too big, it'll be for sale...

Degsy's absolutely right. You will be much better off selling this one and replacing it with the correct size. They can be sourced from evilbay fairly easily,

The Pig hitch is the smaller one, also it isnt the later Dixon Bate type with the option to rotate the pintle and the myriad of locking pins, it is the earlier type, as fitted to the Champ etc, also fairly easy to get hold of, and generally cheaper than the later version.
