extrogg Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Hi all..names Andy and ive had a life long interest in all types of military vehicles though the heavy stuff is where my heart lies. I spent 10 years in the RCT/RLC driving Fodens, Bedfords and Scammell crusaders to name but a few. Ive been out for 11 years now but have always worked in the haulage industry..fuel for last 10. I live in Plymouth and work in Southampton so would be good to meet up with fellow enthusiasts as i wish to get involved again with the driving and restoration side of things. Look forward to meeting you all. Andy Quote
abn deuce Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Welcome extrogg , Many things of interest related to all those Military vehicles you have listed , the owners of them are always looking for a knowledgeable helping hand . We also like to hear others experience and best of all see what photo's they might have of these wonderful Vehicles , So have a look around the place and when you have finished with the chores that all new members are required to do , as instructed by one of the old Hats you will be expected in the club house bar to buy a round of drinks once your replaced by the next person to join the Friendliest forum on the Net . extrogg Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 Cheers..think ill do just that! Id be interested to know who and what goes on down here in the south west. I used to know Bob White who has a good collection of military vehicles and his pride and joy is his fully restored Scammell Explorer..is he known on here? I lost touch with him few years ago. I have many tales to tell about my time in the mob but ill save them for when i get my first round in!! Ill have a hunt for some interesting pics..i know i have plenty of me and my DROPS out in Bosnia.. Im always happy to chat about trucks and things and if anyone gets stuck maybe i can help. Unfortunately i dont own a vehicle as i dont have the space but would like to sometime in the future..cant decide what though!! Bedford TM 14 tonne's are my favourite!! Andy Quote
