Spike Milligan-his part in Adolf Hitler's downfall

Totally agree Tony. I have been fortunate to see him on several occasions the last time only 12 months before he died. He performed at the Civic Hall Wolverhampton. He was as sharp as he ever was none of the slow slurred speech that he seemed to have when on TV. Brilliantly funny and kept everybody enthralled for 21/2 hours. He stood all the way through. He recalled his days as driver to Seebagg-Montyfiori. (Probably spelt it wrong but he did exist) A friend of mine, sadly no longer with us, was also his driver in the early 1950's.

I will make a point of listening. My daughter bought me the combined edition of his books plus all the 'Goon Show' scripts.

Phil.
