rwhendrix
Hi everyone. Im from Indiana and have a huge interest in old tanks and armour. I have been working with my son on a 3/4 replica AEF FT17 from WW1. Its not 100% correct, but as close as I have been able with my abilities and resources. I am a member of a free community of like minded individuals that are creating their own small tank recreations. You can check us out at www.scaledtanks.com or just look for stuff about our work on youtube. I will have questions for many of you all to answer as I am working on some new projects and doing alot of research for them. Talk to you more soon. 6 X 6
I'm impressed by your project and look forward to learning more. What motor do you have in your FT17 ? My other obsession is vintage saxophones and you can't beat a good quality Elkhart made instrument. Indiana saxes rule OK !!
abn deuce
Welcome to the Friendly Forum , seems you have struck a nerve with your Beautifully made tank . Mind when you park it in the club house parking lot you don't run over any of the bicycles laying about ! and make sure you stop off in the bar and have a chat with the rest of the Group, As they will fill you in on the many chores that have to be done by the newest members until such time other new members join up and replace you. rwhendrix
I'm impressed by your project and look forward to learning more. What motor do you have in your FT17 ? Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! The tank is powered by a Continental F227 inline gasoline 6 cylinder flathead engine. The tracks are from an old Cletrac HG farm dozer. The hull is mostly 1/8 and 1/16 thick steel on a box tube frame. Very little wood used. I wanted a metal feel to it.
Tony B
Your mission, and you have no choice about accepting it! Is to produce at the club house a British Mk IV male. This will excuse you from latriene duty, so well worth it.:n00b:
