Jessie The Jeep Posted April 30, 2008 Share Posted April 30, 2008 (edited) Not just RAF Bomber Command, the USAAF was also involved dropping food. the 100th Bomb Group flew 6 food dropping missions. Crews described the thrill of seeing civilians waving back while making the low level drops, as from 25 to 30,000 feet on normal operations, they never really saw much.
