432 Steering question?

Looks like the Militant Men are going to start 2008 with a bang. Anyway can a none running mk2 432 still be steered or assist steering by using the standard control levers or is it a case of dragging it with hollybones?

Jon,

It should be able to as the tillers are only operating a mechanical band brake. Using a Hollebone would be better though.

Cheers Richard, We look set to be moving a dead Stolly which we are used to but it currently has 6 flat tires to make things interesting and a fire damaged 432 so Hollebones will be used where we can but its good to know that we can have some steering assistance if needs be. Hope to get some good pictures.

Cheers

No problems, my dad towed his home behind a tractor when it broke down in the middle of town a few years back, he reckoned it towed really well.
