robin craig
Good day, this splendid wooden tank measuring 8 1/4" end to end has been acquired. I have no idea what it is of. Im not a WW2 aficionado so I am looking for some help please. Also, if we ID it, is there one in private hands anywhere?

0 robin craig
Seems that they are quite a rare machine with none running in private hands. We must be due for someone to dig one up under and orchard somewhere and restore it...... Thank you Richard Farrant Edited January 22, 2022 by robin craig

Thank you Richard Farrant I have seen one in private hands and in restored order a few years ago, it came from South Africa and I understand there are others still out there on display at ex-serviceman clubs. 0 Bob Grundy
There is one with the Imperial War Museum. There to start the restoration but I don't know how far they have got
0 11th Armoured
I've always found this a useful site to get an idea of what's out there, one way or another:http://the.shadock.free.fr/Surviving_Panzers.html
0 robin craig
From that site it appears as is Carl Brown and Adrian Barrell had a project vehicle, is that still anything they are working on one wonders? The Ex Littlefield one now at the Collings Foundation might have a chance of being a runner. I have a plan .....
0 Adrian Barrell
I have never had a Crusader project and nor has Carl, as far as I know. I did have a collection of Covenanter parts, all of which went to other projects which were better candidates for full restoration.
0 robin craig
Well, that was likely my error in comprehension of what I read so aplogies are offered to you Adrian and Carl if any slight was taken. So from what it seems there is not one in private hands running anywhere, just a few museum ones
