Peter Gibson Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 I own an old tipping trailer with a brass Ministry of Supply W.V.3 brass plate on it. The vehicle number is 72 AU 87 and there is also a repair noted: S. REPAIR 5/54 . It also has a M.T.R.S. number B365 and an inspection circle with WV3 (on top) and 110 (below). Would anyone know what it could have been used for? Many thanks. Peter Gibson Quote

Rootes75 Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 I dont recognise the type if hitch? Is that original do you think? Quote
Peter Gibson Posted October 4, 2021 Author Posted October 4, 2021 Yes it is original. It is the same type of hitch that Farmers use.. Regards Peter Quote
wally dugan Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 The design of the hitch is correct for this type of tipping trailer while there is little information on them l know that the royal navy did use a similar design of trailer in pre war trials They do not appear in either british or canadian data books covering ww2 .
