Probably the Troop Commander’s vehicle, for comms with the Battery Commander.

Pre 1968, it was known as a Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment (LAA). Edited December 29, 2022 by ltwtbarmy
07BE16
The last picture of the 'briefing' also includes Meadows 27KVA generators but no sign of th Yellow Fever fire control radars. It is interesting that within a few years all of this 'heavy metal' was replaced by Blowpipe and 109 Land Rovers

That never happened, they re-roled to Field with L118 105mm in 2000.
REME 245
It must have taken a very long time to get anywhere especially Germany in Matadors and Martians with an average speed of approx. 25 mph. When you consider that we manufactured over 1000 Bofors L70 for the Army and RAF most must have never been issued with the contraction of the army. I think that being so unwieldy to transport, and with other systems coming online at the time, many were delared ‘BER’ and abandoned at RAOC depots overseas. I can attest to at least the 53 found at Malta, all declared BER in 1968, and abandoned at Fort Mosta. All were actually operational, complete with CES, and more importantly, history records, and barrel history books updated. In fact, i know of another 4, also ex Malta garrison which ended up as hard targets on ranges in Libya, south of Ajdabiya, and these 4 must have been placed there pre revolution, since the words ‘Hard target’ were actually painted onto the front shields.
