Tony B
One that seems to be missing from the list. BRIXMIS by Tony Geraghty. This book gives the history of the British Commandeer -in -Chief's Mission to the soviet forces of Occupation in Germany. They operated from 1945 till the fall of the Berlin Wall. An intresting story of the hot end of the cold war. The vehicle pictures are intresting.
andreadavide
I've seen the Opel 4x4 at the Army Museum in Chelsea. Impressive bit! Andrea
Tony B
I understand the Opel will be going off display into reserve, now all we need is the location of the warehouse and a crowbar
Richard Farrant
I've seen the Opel 4x4 at the Army Museum in Chelsea. Impressive bit! I once worked on one of those, it was on exercise and suffered damage underneath and came in for repairs. The driver would not leave it, we had a good look at the four wheel drive whilst on the lift, but for some reason he would not lift the bonnet :dunno: This was at a time when 4wd cars were unusual. One turned up at Beltring either last year or year before, really looked as though it was straight out of service.
