attleej
Graeme, Sentinel made some draw-bar trailers for the Army. They may have been with Ackerman steering. It might have been the trailer used to carry the 27 Kva generator or a stores trailer. Someone will be able to decipher "LV9/BTR". fv1609
It is for a 1 Ton Trailer FV2401 Series The VAOS Section LV9 is for Standardised British Land Vehicles (ie WD design) BTR is for trailers derived from B Vehicle TraileR

I'm not sure that this correct. I have the parts lists for Trailer 1 Ton (1956 & 1974) that gives the hub as FV8596 but Humber 1 Ton (1952 & 1960) give the hubs as FV174966 (RHS) & FV174967 (LHS)
gwrightoy
Maybe not then. I will stay with belonging to the 1 ton trailer then. Unless someone else knows anything different 🤔. Thanks Graeme
fv1609
Despite the external similarity, note the provision for the bearings.
Richard Farrant
As the hubs were made by Sentinel then it stands to reason they are for the FV2500 series of 2 ton 4 wheel trailers. As John suggested earlier, the type that was used for carrying the Meadows 27.5kva generator as well as other uses. These trailers were built by Sentinel of Shrewsbury regards Richard
