John Comber Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Some expert help required here please , my son and I stumbled across this trolly in the undergrowth whilst recovering a minibus for a friend last week . It now sits as more 'yard art ' at home as a little project for the junior dept. question please , what is it , who made it , what did it carry and what towed it ?? thanks for reading.... Quote
Nick Johns Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 (edited) It looks like an ex RAF trailer for airfield use only, that carried some sort of ground support equipment, .. it appears to be on very light weight wheels/tyres so it wouldn't carry much weight, ..when the drawbar is raised up it applies the parking brakes ....probably it was something like this pic I found of an airfield cargo handling trailer on similar wheels and drawbar in raised parked position ..top left of pic Edited May 1, 2018 by Nick Johns Quote
LarryH57 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 (edited) Nick, You got in first but my comment was to be that its too lightweight to be a bomb trailer. Plus the straps to hold cases in place, might indicate a luggage trolly Edited May 2, 2018 by LarryH57 Quote
