61be15 Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Hi all, I bought these years ago for an idea that never came to fruition as camouflage net pole supports. Anyone know what they're for and want to make me an offer? I'd rather they found their proper place. i had the part number matched to NSN 2590-99-821-1320 title is "Socket", the part is obsolete. There are thoughts they may be for a Landrover 101 forward control? Paul.
61be15 Posted January 31, 2017 Author Posted January 31, 2017 I certainly bought them as such, and the standard camo poles fit in there nicely. Its what vehicle they adorn I'm after. They don't hook over a Sankey tailer tub as the lip is too wide for it. (That was my original idea for them).
DMC 7RU Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 9BTR 2590-99-821-1320 are for camouflage poles- SOCKET-WELDED CONSTRUCTION, PAINTED FINISH, FOR CAMOUFLAGE POLES. However they were originally fitted to the semi-trailer based on the Cranes 30 tonne Plant and Equipment Trailer designed to carry a No8 or No9 Tank Bridge towed by a Scammell Crusader in support of the Chieftain Armoured Vehicle Launched Bridge.
61be15 Posted January 31, 2017 Author Posted January 31, 2017 A fairly narrow market to sell to then? Oh well, maybe someone will have an idea for them on a certain auction site. Many thanks for your information, I'd never have found out otherwise. What a resource this collective is!
