Its me
Hi all, So just sat here looking at pics etc and after all these years it has finally dawned on me that even though the sexton is right hand drive as opposed to the shermans left hand drive they still use the same transmission. So my question being what did they have to do to convert it to make it compatible with with the right hand drive etc. Many thanks Kyle
Adrian Barrell
Slightly different gear and brake linkages is all that is required.
Its me
So a fairly simple swap over then. Guessing linkages slightly different in the sense of longer and other way round as such.
Adrian Barrell
The gearshift was originally on the right anyway as it was first used on M3 medium. Sexton was built on Ram and Ram was based on M3 not M4 so it could be said that they were all as designed with Sherman being the modification. Steering is easy to have as needed as both sides brake control shafts enter their respective brake housings directly. It's simply a matter of joining the levers to the actuating shafts as required.
