Chris Hall
I think I'd weld in some new horn sections on the front. Take them back to the radiator support so you can brace on the inside of the frame and no one can see. I've had to rebuild one of my horn sections in the same way as the battery had eaten away everything.
steve gpw
i have two frame horns for a willys but there too thin does anyone know where can i get ford ones
Chris Hall
Lots of places do repro horns for both ford and willys. Are you on the G503 forum? Try Ron Fitzpatrick ~https://www.vintagejeeps.com/
steve gpw
Just spotted this on my chassis there not cracks there both in the some place on both frame rails and in the center of the frame ?? Any ideas anyone
benspickup
This is from the manufacturing processA lot of larger components were made in two half's. Some thinks were welded, others were heated to red hot and squeezed together.I could be wrong but this is my educated guess!
steve gpw
should i leave it or weld it ?????
Chris Hall
I have no idea what they are but the frames were made by having 2 x 1 piece rails with a boxed section welded to the inside. I've not seen marks like that before.
steve gpw
They don't look like cracks to me the are in the identical place on both outer rails I have measured from the front shock mounts bothe are the same measurements
Chris Hall
It's possible the marks are from clamps or similar used in the jig process. My GPW doesn't have them but it's a VEP on a midland frame so built differently.

ruxy
i looked at the film but couldnt see anything You should see strip shear from sheet, manipulator loader into press and full "U" section chassis longeron rails pressed in a single length.
