I bought an old garage oil pump from a autojumble cleaned it out and refilled it with fresh oil and it works a treat. Long hose with a thin nozzle so easy to get in to filler, two or three pumps job done and no hanging upside down with oil pouring down your arm :D

Or take a flexible hose and a funnel.

Thread the hose from the gearboy past a pedal or such into the body, attach funnel, tie it down and pour small amounts of oil in the funnel checking regularly if it overflows the gearbox .

In the meantime you can sipp tea and eat biccies.

On a WW2 T84 gearbox Remove the gear lever and pour oil in from the top untill its the right level and runs out of the filler hole, not sure if the lever comes out easily on an M38 T90 box, the transfer box can be filled so much easier by removing the PTO cover plate giving a very large filling access
