Bob Grundy
Can anyone (Tim for instance) identify these motor ambulances outside the Hop Store, Vlameringtinge, June 1915.
Runflat
Looks like a Sunbeam at the front. Any chance of a better close-up?
Great War truck
I am not very good with ambulances. Alan is your man. Does look like a Sunbeam though.

Tony B
A number of ambulances were donated by organisations. Sunbeams were an approved type of vehicle for this.
Bob Grundy
Here is the close up, the second one does not look like the first (Sunbeam ?) Thanks for the help, apart from Rick of course...
Tony B
Found this thread. http://www.worldwar1postcards.com/ambulance-car.php Seems there were a number of types donated. Though I notice the covers on the vehicles pictured have no sponsors. Anyone know if spornsorship names wer removed at the front? This is a picture from Autocar Magazine dated 1915 of a Sunbeam. Second one could be a Ford Model T. Edited August 7, 2015 by Tony B
Runflat
I'm happy the first is a Sunbeam. The second is likely to be a Napier.
Bob Grundy
Thank you all, I will go with a Sunbeam and a Napier, the photo will be the subject of a Then&Now in the WFA Stand To! under 'The Camera Returns'
