morrisc8gs
Hi probably need to remove engine from Morris C8 GS to work on. Can anyone recommend a engine hoist and stand to buy or hire. The engine is listed as 946lb. The Morris sits quite high so not sure what type of hoist would be suitable. Have looked at machine mart and have hired from HSS to remove engine from M38a1. Any advice welcomed. I live in Southport, Merseyside. Thanks in advance Martin
timbo
SGS Engineering look very reasonably priced. Haven't got the website to hand but you should find easily enough if you search for them.

Richard Farrant
Cheers - yes, look reasonable price.anyone with experience of these or could recommend stand/ crane for working with Morris? I removed and refitted a C8GS engine for the late owner of the infamous "Bertha", using a 500kg hydraulic engine crane, if this is of any help to you.
