WW1 Photograph

It is an Imperial war Museum photograph in the 'Q' series. Look in IWM Collection Search on the web, we don't know the number but there is a box for key words, 99% sure it is the late summer of 1916, maybe the attack on Morval which as everyone knows is the First Battle of the Somme.

My question is why you want a good resolution of it ?

I have had a search and these chaps may be of the same party in The Daily Mail photo. It is Q 4288 Morval Ginchy.png Battle of Morval, 'Wiring

party carrying their implements going up to the line near Ginchy'

Hello Bob

Yes, thank you for this, I saw these images, you could be right.

The reason for this request, is as a background as big as I can make it, for a WW1 display at school, this is my Tommy Atkins.

I thought it would look good behind

Cheers
