Rick W
Considering the purchase of a Guy Quad Ant just to satisfy my urges. Has anyone had any experiences of these? What are they like to drive, availability of parts, dimensions, weight etc.
0 Richard Farrant
Rick, I believe they are not easy to find spares for. The engine was a 4 cyl Meadows. Brakes are cable operated with no assistance, so rather a handful on today's roadswith a weight of around 4.5 tons (for a Field Artillery tractor)

0 Rick W
Am waiting for a photo to be emailed to me from its current owner. Apparently its an unusual variant, one of only 6 made, its a recovery truck at present, but it seems to be going for a good price. When i get pics I will post them, i dont think I will go for it as it may be too big for me, Im looking for something a little smaller as the new vehicle! 0 Richard Farrant
Rick, In the 1944 edition of the War Office Data book of Vehicles, there is a list of trailed weights for each vehicle, in three catagories, cross country, normal roads and hilly roads. The Guy Quad Ant is the ONLY vehicle in the listing to have Not Advisable on all three catagories!
